Also if you want anyone to take you seriously you might not want to use "slang" so we can understand what you are saying, and so I don't think you are some everyday moron. You can use your "slang" in public, but use correct grammer on the net. It defines to me you really don't know what sports are when you talk like an idiot online, and I am inclined not to listen to you at all. -_-;
besides, i'm totally aware of what sports really are and i'm neither and idiot thanks for telling. the point is that i'm doing both things, gaming and practising football and my experiences led me to my opinion that gaming can't be and shouldn't be on the same level of appreciation (i hope you understand what i mean, sry for my language deficits). it's not the time both of them, gamers and sportsmen, spend for reaching their goal, but it's the difference between sitting in front of your pc and running outdoors.
Rugby is not played at the Olympic Games. It is a sport. American football is not played at the Olympic Games. It is a sport. Cricket is not played at the Olympic Games. It is a sport.
And I'm pretty sure there's heaps more.. Lacrosse?
Personally I wouldn't label gaming as a sport, but neither do I think it's totally wrong to do so.
You can make a very plausible debate for gaming being a sport. It has already been debated by executives in the real sports scene. Gamers deserve just as much respect for their efforts as these guys do. Instead of trying to make a debate why they aren't you should just be more accepting to new views. It is almost like a predjudice put on gamers being "they aren't good enough to be called sportsmen." The sad thing is it is by their own community. This just shows how supportive some of you really are.
Also I was pointing out that using slang doesn't make you seem like a smart person or seem like a person to know much about what you are talking about when you use it. It was basically a reponse to you calling people who support "esports" fools. You should be very open to being criticized when you cast the first stone. If you don't want people to criticize you for your slang you shouldn't criticize others for being foolish just because they are supporting something they enjoy. (Something I might add that you should be doing and not apposing it being the fellow gamer that you are.)
#60 Learn to spell and go play in trafic. If you pissed on me I would jack you in your jaw and piss on you afterwards. Idiot. -_-;
