ECL Liverpool

hello everyone,

ecl is coming up next weekend and I decided today, it would be a good to attend the largest console event in europe. their are ~30000€ cash prizes up for grab in Halo3,Call of Duty 4, SFIV, Gears of War and FIFA !

I decided today to attend, but what a surprise, i found a cheap flight. Only 130€ from Munich to Manchester with Singapore Airlines. Quite cheap, when you think that i booked it 5 days prior the estimated departure.

The flight is one thing, the hotel is the other thing. I decided to not book a hotel and rather look for a floor space when I will be there. If i cant find one, the BYOC section will be my sleeping section ;]

We have our very own Call of Duty 4 team their, they got the number 1 seed and are one of the #1 contenders for the event, looking forward to meet them.

SK will provide a lot of coverage during the weekend. We have planned video interviews, livescores and a lot of news during the whole event.





Nearly at the Final at DutchGameCon

Welcome again here in Haarlem.

SK made it out of the groupstage with 5 wins and 1 loss on the second place. We then lost against Team eMpathy from the Netherlands, well the players said, they just werent in the game and werent focused.
In the LB we got a bye against Incore and won the Second match in the LB against Fariko.Yin pretty easy. Next opponent was WeGotSwagg, the team that got beaten by Ech3lon in the WB2. A hell of a match, but we managed to take a 2-0 in the end.

Now waiting for the winner of BP against eMpathy, winner of that is the opponent in the LB Final.
TCM Gaming vs. Ech3lon is about to start in the WB Final. One hell of a match will be waiting. BO5.
TCM already won the Teamstyle Award with some nice Afros and mustaches.

Sunday Morning at DutchGameCon

Good Morning,

just had a nice breakfast in this amazing hotel and now waiting for 10am for the tournement begin.

We passed the groupstage already, but still have to play 1 match for the groupstage today, then the Bracket.

5 Wins and 1 loss. The loss against the French Ech3lon was ok, they just played better then us and improved their gameplay from minute to minute.

I'll keep you updated as yesterday, a livestream is also again planned.

Only one week to DutchGameCon

I just really got in my mind, that DGC is only one week to go. Friday at this time, I'll allready be in Amsterdam after nearly 7 hours of travelling across Germany with the train. 3 changes :(

DutchGameCon, what is it all about ? Its a Convention but also on the same side a big EU tournement for ModernWarfare 2 on the XBOX360. With the most of the TopTeams in attendence, just like SK-Gaming or TCM Gaming secures an awesome experience for the visitors and players. Held in the heart of the north, only a few meters away from the beach, it provides also a lot of fun around the tournement itself. Airbrush, DJ, Afterparty, booths of EA/Eurogamers.nl and acer.

So If you're from the Netherlands and always wanted to know how the eSport on the XBOX360 works, visit DutchGameCon on the 10-11 April in Haarlem.

My MLG experience

So, here we go. Its warm and I'm lying next to the pool. The Hotel is insane and Orlando is nice so far.

24 hours of travelling behind me. I missed my flight from Stuttgart to Amsterdam, so I couldn't get my connection to the USA. After waiting 8 hours, I got a flight from Stuttgart directly to Charlotte, happily I got an upgrade into Business class and the flight was insane. my girlfriend and I enjoyed it so much, connection was then easily and I landed save in Orlando in the morning. There I had to wait for the transfer to the official MLG hotel, but hours later I checked in and saw our beautiful room the first time. INSANE.

So well, that was my experience so far, the internet sucks really, even with a proxy from germany its faster to access German pages then directly from the US... ?!

Tomorrow I will go into the town to do some shopping and sightseeing with my girlfriend. Let's hope she lets me go to the venue in the evening, i'm sceptic.

Weekend, here we go !!

YEAH YEAH YEAH !! Hardest week of my school life is over. Wrote 3 tests and got 2 back. Math was good, got 11 points. Physics was also very good, got 13 points. BUT then I wrote the tests in German, biology and English... The first 2 were just completly FAIL, English was ok, but not that good as usually...

BUT the weekend is here, that means tonight, is the big night. ABI PARTY !! The Germans know what I mean, the best partys in your life after your students partys. Can't wait for it.

Also I have the chance to meet up with the guys from EdBanger Records (Justice, BusyP, DSL, Denson & BusyIcer, Mr.Oizo...). Mr. Weekend brought it to me. (Maybe some of the german people who are living near Stuttgart) know who and what I mean. Dirty, nu electro clash !!

So my Weekend will be good, a mix of alcohol and girls. Can't wait for it. I know that was one of my worser blogs, but anyway. Had to say that :) Wish you all a good weekend and have fun !!!

EGL LAN XBOX 360 - Day 2 LIVE UPDATE

Welcome to the second day and the final day. The guys are in a good mood after waiting 2 hours in front of the location. A bit cold but the breakfast made that away.

round 2 starts in an hour. we will play against eGo our first round 2 match. we should do that quite good, as eGo made a lineup change tonight, so they have a new player and will not have the strong communication they have normally.

I will keep you updated as good as I can. The Internet is struggling here and it takes 15 min to upload a small picture, so dont expect that much of photos/videos. On monday, when Im at home I will upload all the stuff.

SK starting now their first match today. !

Lost the SnD unlucky 3:4... But looking forward to Domination, should go well.

Won Domination by a mile... now Sabo. Should also go well.

EDIT4:

Seconds ago we lost our first match today... We dominated the Domination clearly but at SnD and Sabo we lost unlucky... but yeah, we will now rape the LB. Keep you updated.

EDIT5:

SK ate some food minutes ago and we are now strong to plaz our LB match later. Atm. rankONE is playing against Infused, a really good match. Also eMp vs. 4D is still up since 1 hour. The match is so close.

EDIT6:

SK now up against Logistics in the LB. We won SnD so far, now Domo. TCM destroyed H2k...

THE INTERNET CAFE WHERE I DO MY UPDATES IS CLOSING. SO ICANT DO UPDATES. WILL DO THAT LATER.

So finally im back in the hotel. the lan is over. sk got 4th. we lost against eGo after just ONE map. the admins changed the rules during the tourneent,so we got pretty outcheated, was just annoying as hell. normally you play 3 maps... we lost 1 and got knocked out, thats just stupid. We beaten before that TCM, the favourites of the tournement pretty confident, was a good watch and the whole crowd standed behind us.

So in the End, if the tournement would have been regulary played to the end, the final would have been SK vs. Infused.

EGL XBOX360 - LIVE UPDATE

In this blog I will update our tournement progess and also write down some informations about the LAN.

We arrived 15 min ago in the LAN Centre. It looks pretty good with a mainstage and a professionel gaming setup. The players are all up and are fit to plaz their first matches.

Before the tournement starts, we will have a FreeForAll with all plazers, also our SK players will participate their. Keep you updated.

EDIT1:

FFA still not started, the power went off and all the xbox's too. Still waitin to get it back. Also the stream is not working atm, still a lot of problems, hope the staff can get everything sorted...

EDIT2:

Godlike, Tobi, Mak and Cazuall went to round 2 in the FFA. Bissell got knocked out in Round 1 sadly... in 15 min Round 2 starts. Keep you updated.

EDIT3:

SK won their Round 1 match against IX quite easily. Just took us 20 min to beat them. There were not big upsets and the favourites went to Round 2... The rest of the tourney will continue tomorrow at 8. I will keep you updated as today. Btw, sry for the lack of coverage after 7pm, the internet went away at the location, so i couldnt edit the matches which where running (tcm vs. ic, emp vs. log). I tried it here at the hotel, but the site to edit takes hours to load... so no chance.

We also had several problems with the hardware but we hope we get this sorted.

EGL - I'm coming !

Hello to all you people out there,
this is my first blog on the sk page... I feel pretty bad as I'm in SK since March but didn't had the chance to blog. But now before EGL, i found the time to try out my writting skills in a small blog.

Basically on Friday my journey begins to EGL. I'm leaving at 7 from Stuttgart Airport to Manchester. Can't wait as I love flying.

Saturday Morning, we will have a sweet breakfast in Manchester City and then travel down to the venue at 8:30. At 9 our first match against Team.IX. A well known UK based team, came up 2 months ago and had decent places from there upto today in sevveral online tournements all over Europe.

This is my second Event under SK flag and I'm proud to show it again, how the "SK Feeling" is. Can't wait for it. Eindhoven was already great, but Manchester will be a hell lot better. Also I can't wait to meet "Heiza", an old member of the German SK Lineup, but playing now under H2k flag.

All in all, this was my first blog and the sk page. stay tuned for more, especially from Friday to Sunday when we'are in Manchester.
