Quiksilver's Environmental
The protection of the environment is of major importance for Quiksilver, and it is for this reason that we make every effort to reduce the impact of our company on it.
- The first initiative was to commit ourselves to a policy of recycling our own waste. Our company integrates environmental protection into it’s management strategy!
- The second initiative is that Quiksilver commits itself to respect the environment through the product it makes and distributes. We have even created a clothing line using only biologically cultivated fibres. “We are working, at Quiksilver, on improving the ecological aspect of our production. And we have told the other members of the Eurosima that all that we learn on this level will be shared with them, so that every one may benefit from it. This information is available to all, for the benefit of the environment” Harry Hodge.
- The third initiative is a general program of informing all the riders about environmental problems and to provide information about the actions of Surfrider Foundation and Quiksilver Initiative, and it is even possible to join.
Why such a commitment from Quiksilver?
All our activities are closely linked to the environment, and the respect of it. Without the natural playgrounds which the Mountains and the Sea represent, we would not exist. They are our work tools, we can not be content with just taking, we also have to think about giving. Mobilising yourself to reduce the impact of your company on the environment is a way of giving back to nature.
