Champions !_!

Perfect season, a record of 16 wins and 0 loss overall! That was seriously an amazing way to end my basketball career. We won yesterday the final game at 50-39. I got a couple bruises and a sprained thumb ( ow T_T ) but it’s all good ( : ! The final result is all that matters. I played for my college for 5 years and this year, our team was just incredible and had such great teamwork, most important thing to be the best! I had a lot of fun and I’m sad it is all over now.
SK ladies’ practice this week went pretty well and we were ready to play our next match. We played it tonight on de_train versus Deviance. The other team played with only 4 players and it sucked because it felt like a waste of time. We unfortunately lost pistol round on CT side and lost the 2 following rounds. Then, we pretty much just ran around and tried to get it over with as fast as possible. Also, some of us had video card/sound problems and I played with my thumb hurting like hell :( . Gg anyway. The next match is on April 2nd at 8 PST and we will play on inferno versus Tier-One Gaming.
I came home from work earlier and saw this list of teams they just announced for ESWC Masters. Looking at the teams, I was happy (and not so surprised ;) ) to see our SK.swe guys on that list but I was also kind of surprised to see EG.us on there and Gravitas Gaming only on the waiting list… I talked to my friend from GG to know what was up with that. Why isn’t the best team from the US figuring on that list? He said they looked at OLD rankings, which doesn’t even make sense at all because team rosters have changed but they kept the same team name. I felt bad for them and I hope it gets fixed! Everyone saw who the best team was to represent the US internationally when GG played the best out of all the US teams at the EM tournament. They also won the Kode5 US qualifiers, not losing a single map until finals and beating all the other US teams. Anyways, we want Gravitas!! Fix it!
Alright, Passt auf euch auf, take care guys!

Bonsoir :)
I’m going to blog about something a little different this time, just a story, something pretty random, just about me, to start the month.
So, my story starts like this. I started playing CS 6 years ago. I got into the game because my brother bought it but never played it. Fast forward to 2006, I traveled oversea for the first time to play at ESWC with EG.Girls. It was kind of disappointing when we didn’t make it out of group play and we didn’t either in 2007. I am a really competitive girl and I knew I could get more, or at least, I wanted to go further and simply, be the best. Last summer, lucky for me, SK Ladies asked me to join. I finally got the chance that I had been waiting for and I’m so happy it happened! I spent a really nice summer traveling with the girls to France, Germany and California and to make it more awesome, we won ESWC 2008! It was honestly like a dream come true ^^b
So, after this crazy and successful summer, where I met amazing people, I came back home to reality, boring normal life far away from everyone! Gaming around here is pretty unknown. Well, yes, a lot of people play games but really just for fun. Not many people have heard of competitive gaming and no one really knows you can make money out of it. That’s one of the reasons I never really talked about what I call “my second life”. Most of my college friends know Lidia the basketball player and the accounting/business student. They don’t know about SK.lidy :). Of course my family and my close friends know. They even support me a lot. It is pretty crazy that many people around the world know me because of Counter Strike. I get nice messages everyday and it’s pretty cool. Thanks! I never thought that would happen to me.
One of my friends, who doesn’t really know about my CS career, traveled to Thailand at the end of last year, While on the plane on the way back, he randomly read a gaming magazine in some crazy language I can’t read :). But there was a short article about me in it! How crazy is that? They talk about me and SK gaming in THAILAND! No one knows who I am in my own city but they do on the other side of the planet! I thought it was pretty insane. He was nice enough to keep the magazine and give it to me. I took a picture of the short article and you can see Plaste from Roccat there above my picture! :]
Couple more days before springbreak!!! Woo!
Take care guys ~
Be happy

Hallo Jungs!
February went by so fast and it’s a good thing. It means spring and summer are coming soon. Woo! I really cannot stand snowstorms and this extreme cold weather anymore :). I had to shovel all the snow off the roof of my house last week again and it’s a pain in the ass to be honest. I want sun, hot weather and to chill by the pool in my swimsuit all day long! Or even better, lay around all day on beautiful California beaches! Days are getting longer too and it is better when you wake up everyday at 6 am. It does not feel like it’s in the middle of the night anymore. During winter, it’s so dark in the morning that it makes you want to just stay in bed, sleep in and skip class he he!
Yes, we lost our match on cpl_strike 11-16 on Thursday. Sorry for making you guys lose all your SK money. Lol I hope it won’t stop anyone to bet on us for our next matches. The bad maps are done with so, let’s play some real CS now :)! Our next match is this Tuesday and it is against a team called Come Get Some, on inferno. We will be practicing all weekend long and be ready for the match. It is hard to practice a lot on weekdays since we all live in different time zones, which sucks a lot. We practice almost everyday anyway but for only 2 or 3 hours. Alice gets home from work at 7pm, which is in fact 9pm for Jso and Mel, and 10pm for me! And since I have class at 8 in the morning everyday, I have to wake up at 6am all the time and I can’t go to bed too late :(.
Springbreak is coming up and I do not have anything crazy planned this year. I will probably sleep a lot, play cs, play basketball to get ready for the playoffs and catch up on all my TV shows and the good movies I missed out on since the holidays because of my crazy college semester. I need some suggestions actually. So, if you saw a good movie and is worth watching/sharing, please leave the title in the comments! I would appreciate that. :D Any kind of movies, it doesn’t matter.
That is it for now. Practice with SK ladies is about to begin.
Sköt om er, take care :]

Finally. :D
The wait is over people! \o/ I am really happy to welcome my Canadian friend MEL GRIBBEN to SK Ladies!! You guys might know her because she’s a champion ;) and she won ESWC with SK Ladies in 2007 in Paris. I used to play with her back when we both played for EG.Girls. The team will be able to practice for real from now on. I am excited!
As usual, I am keeping you guys updated about our ESEA league season. We won our second match 16-13 on de_cpl_mill versus Unsung Heroes. Here are the statistics from the match: (http://www.esportsea.com/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=1128018 and http://www.sk-gaming.com/match/14565). We did not practice that map a lot since at bootcamp, we focused on practicing the maps that we are going to play at tournaments and mill isn’t one of them. Tuscan is in the map rotation instead. The HLTV is up in the files section on the website if you want to watch the match. Our next one will be on cpl_strike (another map I dislike…). And it will be on Thursday February 26th at 8 PST. HLTV will be up 15 minutes before the match so, come watch us and make sure you place your bet on our side! You can see us in action with the new 5th! Thanks Kevin Keelan for being our temporary 5th. :)
College is almost done. Three weeks of classes are now left plus 1 week for spring break. Then, until graduation, I will be working as an intern somewhere I do not know yet. Graduation should be fun. We are going on a cruise where we can see a cool view of my city and downtown Old Quebec, alongside the beautiful Chateau Frontenac and around on the Saint-Lawrence River. Nice dinner, nice view, open bar, dance club on the boat, anyone want to be my date? ;) I already got a NO from my first choice. :(
We are still undefeated in basketball and that means, even though there are two matches left, we actually won the league! \o/ No teams can get ahead of us now so, we are sure to finish in 1st place. The playoffs are coming up. It would be nice to win that as well. It would be a great way to end my basketball career. In 5 years of playing for my college, this is my first 1st place! I am going to miss playing basketball… A LOT. Sadface…
Be happy, people.
Take care.

PS2: A lot of people have been asking for POV demos of me. I don't really have any. The one from cpl_mill wasn't great so I did not upload it :P I just uploaded one right now where I am playing deathmatch from last night, check it out hehe :)!

Pressure.
We are all flying home tonight and I am not looking forward to it so much. A lot of homework is waiting for me... I’m sitting here waiting for the girls to get ready. I woke up early because I can’t sleep when there’s light in the room. The sun just went straight into our eyes. Not good! I slept really well though. Jenny is baking brownies right now and it smells amazing! I hope I can get a piece! he he.
The weekend went by really fast. It was a lot of fun with the girls and our friends. We got a lot of practice done. Many people asked me if we went out to clubs/bars since Chicago has supposedly a crazy nightlife. Well no, we did not go clubbing. We had to babysit Benita who is only 16 years old! :P Just kidding! SK|Tobi was with us at the SteelSeries office the whole weekend. He took care of everything for our bootcamp and even got us Starbucks to make sure we would keep headshotting. (I love Starbucks! Grande Mocha with whipped cream, mmM!) He was our photographer and took literally millions of pictures since we’re all very picky. Poor guy! He also had to listen to 4 girls/1guy screaming for 12 hours a day. Thanks for your patience, Tobi! Thanks to da_bears and aZn for all the help and Chris because he is my homie and is giving me a ride to the airport. haha
SK ladies have officially started the season in the ESEA league last week. The first match went really well. We won 16-3 on de_train. The statistics are up on the ESEA website. (http://www.esportsea.eu/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=1118467) We will have a match every week. Our next one is scheduled for Thursday February 19th at 19:30 PST and it will be on de_cpl_mill.
Keep leaving us comments! We enjoy reading them a lot!!

College is owning me right now. So much homework and exams after only 2 weeks of class. But the good news is that there are only 6 more weeks to go!! I pretty much spend all week long either in class or at the library to work on projects with my amazing classmates. Basketball games have started again and we had two games last week. I'm getting back in shape! Twice a week, we have practice with the coaches and one individual practice. I usually just go to the gym. (Or, I become really lazy and go home to watch Grey's Anatomy, my new tvshow addiction!! So good!) Running outside would be a good idea but I would freeze to death :). Yes, it's still very cold! Our basketball record right now is 10 victories - 0 loss. Season is about to end and playoffs are in less than a month. We're really good this year and we should be able to win it all without a single loss! *Knocks on wood*
SK ladies just registered to play in the ESEA league, season 2. You guys will be able to see us play really soon. We are still trying to schedule our first match which should be played anytime next week. We will be playing a team called Dooms Day on de_train. We will announce when it is as soon as it is all fixed.
The girls and I, minus Jso who already lives there, will be traveling to Chicago, Illinois, really soon (10 days!!). More info about that will be shared with you guys in the next couple of days. I can't wait to see the girls again. I haven't seen Jenny and Alice since ESWC in San Jose. It will be my first time meeting Benita! It will be my first time also going to Chicago and I hope Jenny will show me around a bit. I love to visit new places! I also get to see Tobi again! \\o/ The weekend should be really fun. Not just fun though. We're planning on working real hard and playing a lot of cs! Stay tuned!!!
Valentine's day with my ladies, mm!! Mrs.Cullen.Lew.Bean ;)
It's 7am and I'm running late for class. You guys take care. Be happy :)

P.S1: Whoever voted on my basketball poll, LEBRON > KOBE. heheh :P Bryant is still a very good player.
P.S2: 1v1 vs Bds at basketball next summer. Do you guys think he stands a chance against me? :P

åäö Unreal.

The end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009 looked promising and fun for me as I had great plans to celebrate the holidays and the New Year, and also great people to spend them with. I guess destiny chose otherwise and turned it into a complete unreal disaster. Can’t have everything you want, uh? Meh… I managed to still have a good Christmas with my family and friends.
College starts next week, on January 20th, and it is my final semester. 8 weeks of class is left, 6 weeks of internship, and then, done with school. I will be graduating in May in accounting/business. I will finally be done after 3 years 1/2. Isn’t it exciting? Basketball practices start again tonight. I haven’t touched a basketball in more than a month. We also have a tournament in Montreal this weekend. That should be interesting and pretty tough because I am pretty out of shape right now!
Here, we get a little bit more than a month long break over the holidays. I had a lot of time to hang out, catch up on movies and relax before my weeks soon get really busy with school, work, basketball practices/games, and CS practices, of course. I surprisingly fell in love, fell in love with my friend’s hot man, Mr. Edward Cullen (I won’t steal him away... I promise), the vampire from the Twilight series. I even bought the first two books of the 4, which I am currently reading. Guys, don’t hate please. Especially YOU! It’s just jealousy because Edward is so dreamy. (Don’t forget in November ;))
It has been really cold here lately, which makes it annoying to go outside. We also got our first snowstorm with many more to come, unfortunately. I certainly do not enjoy the -33 Celsius. Trust me; it is instant freeze out there. This is pretty much why I turned into a snowwoman (See my profile picture). It was also SK|Merusame’s fault. Thanks Tim! And I hear Alice and Benita get angry about their California weather all the time. PLEASE~! ;)
I hope 2009 will get better because so far, I am pretty disappointed! The only good thing about this year is SK. I am really excited about playing and traveling with the girls. I can’t wait!
So until next time, you know you love me. ;)
XOXO

Done! d._.

The last 2 weeks have been so exhausting. Even though I was on spring break, I spent most of my time at my college's library working on school projects and studying all day. I had a little bit of time to watch some of the movie suggestions you guys gave me. (Seven Pounds is really sad by the way :( and so is Grey's Anatomy still-_- ) But now, I am DONE with college!! \\o/ I had my last exam this afternoon and I feel so relieved! Also, I finally found a company who would hire me for my internship. So, starting on Monday and for the next four weeks, I will be working in an office doing accounting work and stuff interns usually do. Uh huh
Basketball finals soon! We won our semi-final game last Sunday by only 3! We were down by 9 towards the end of the game but we managed to come back. It was actually crazy and exciting to play a close match for once. During the season, we won all of our matches by over 15 points. Going into basketball playoffs with an easy undefeated season was kind of cool but it also put pressure on us, it seemed. We almost blew it because we thought we were going to win it easy hehe. I am pretty confident about us winning it the finals though. We have a pretty skilled team and good teamwork. The game will be played sometimes next week. That will be my last basketball game ever :( … Wish me luck!
SK ladies had a match tonight on nuke. We almost came back from a 3-12 first half. Our next match will be on March 25th on train at 7:30PST. Thanks for your support :)
I’m taking a break from waking up at 6am everyday for a couple of days. I will definitely enjoy sleeping in tomorrow. ^^v
Take care

Be happy :)
XOXO

P.S1: Whoever voted on my basketball poll, LEBRON > KOBE. heheh :P Bryant is still a very good player.
P.S2: 1v1 vs Bds at basketball next summer. Do you guys think he stands a chance against me? :P

So until next time, you know you love me. ;)
XOXO

Take care
