Here we go again

A couple of days ago a Belgian kid went to the city, bought himself a gun and shot three people ( of which 2 immigrants and one 2 year old baby ).
They were racist killings by a person who was going to kill himself but told his friends he would first try and take 10 others with him.
Now suddenly all the newspaper have headlines "Killer reenacted videogame!". In which they say how he often played GTA San Andreas, a game in which you have to go to a shop and buy a gun after which you have to kill people. And because this crazy son of a ***** also went to a shop and bought a gun the politicians and journalists say it is the same as playing the game.
Now what kind of logic is this?
What about his education, what about how he was bullied at school, what about he could walk into a store and buy a gun ( he even got a quick shooting and reloading lesson from the store clerk ), what about no one helping him mentally through all these years, what about .....
It never ceases to amaze me how people can blame videogames for everything bad in the world. I guess Sadam, Bush and other world leaders played Stratego too much when they were kids.

And, because I've read loads of articles, video games don't make people violent ffs.
Some time ago, they said it was TV that caused such violence in kids, including dragonball,etc making kids jumping through the window trying to fly or catching the magic cloud, whatever. Now, video games are popular, and they want to blame'em.
Until something else appears, they will continue saying that video games causes kids/teens more aggressive.
Anyway, an interesting fact is that in the top 10 of sales ever, is only one FPS.

I also notice that everyone says that people blame it on the videogames. that may be true but .. no one mentions that the most tv programs blamed it on some racistic polics who filled those kids with hatred.

Btw the most sickening thing about this is how easy he came to get a gun. Sigh.
Then next to that, the boy his family were 1/2 members of "Vlaams Belang", which is a racist political party (dno the right word for "politieke partij" in english). Anyway ONE week before the shooting happened, "Vlaams Belang" said that the Belgian law for getting guns etc should be less strict.
To be really honest, like iantje said, I think this has NOTHING to do with video games.
And to #75: you can't just buy any gun without a license, but there are some shotguns (for hunting deers), which only have a maximum distance of 50m (I don't agree with this, not at all, but it's not like you can just buy any gun you want here.)
