AMD Raffle Disappoint!
AMD, SK-Gaming. Both such big companies. They decided to make a partnership about 5 months ago. They also made another decision. To create a competition for 5 brand new AMD Spider platforms. I’ve started first paragraph of this “blog” with two words – AMD, SK-Gaming. This one I start with only 1 word which describes whole situation the best – disappoint.
After almost 5 months winners have still nothing. Why? Have they forgotten us? Don’t they care? I remember reading once that AMD care about it’s customers the most and their wish is to please them in the best way possible.
I’ve asked some of the winners their opinion about this AMD Raffle situation:
“I feel very disappointed and let down at the team at SK and AMD”, Ahmed "Achy_88" Matar
“I just think it's stupid that in a raffle that was supposed to promote AMD and bring them good publicity, they are creating themselves bad publicity by taking ages to send out the prizes.”, Zac "zaK-" Basset
“Not getting the computers sucks for everyone, but personally i am SAD at this point. The 28th of July i am leaving for my millitary service and will be away from home for a full year.”, Martin 'Ntrm' Five.
As you can see we all have similar opinions. Whole situation is sad and not professional at all.
We all are dissapoined because nobody could expect something like this from such corporation as AMD. I am no longer sure if I agree with AMD’s slogan, that AMD is really: “THE SMARTER CHOICE”.
After this long time I would really appreciate an answer on question: "are we getting our computers at all?". I just want to know clear answer, no more talking that computers will be send SOON.
P.S.: this blog was written to let the community know about whole situation and maybe it will help to get some answers from AMD.

Now, we are as sad as all the winners are with the bad execution here. We have been told PCs would be shipped 2 weeks ago.
All we can do is apologise at this point and let you know, that we harassed AMD all this time to get their hands on sending out the PCs to the winners.
Sorry from our side!
I'm thinking that I've heard this all before.
With that being said i think it's a nice gesture of AMD installing new graphic cards!
I suppose nothing by their side yet ?
Keep us updated ! x
Please remember: We are sorry it took so long. On the other side we are more than happy being able to provide such kick-ass hardware. Hopefully you will enjoy!

2x 19,2kg - i assume 2x pc
1x 1,1kg - i assume 1x keyboard and mouse or whatever...
and ZAC BASSETT has only 1 package...
Is this something i can do something about or will it "fix itself" ?
Let's wait what arrives where. If too one gets 0 and another one gets 2, I would accept both, AMD shall arrange the fed ex pickup and pay for it directly then...
Sounds like a plan?
Thank You all and enjoy.
oh.. i leave my town for a week on 16..
can someone else accept the package ?
mother, father, friend ?
However, here are some things I have noticed:
A: Different case, it's not a Coolermaster Cosmos S - the case that came with it is also nice however it has a big bend in it at the back and scratches on it.
B: No windows vista (Not that I mind lol :D xp ftw)
C: No steelseries keyboard and mouse
D: It's not a Raptor 10,000 RPM hard drive it's just a regular maxtor 150gb one :/
Kind of gives the impression that AMD just threw it together in a hurry (after 4 months lol) with whatever case and hard-drive they could find.
While I understand that this is AMDs responsibility and not yours and I am very grateful to have receieved this prize, it is a little bit disappointing that some of the specs are not the same as what we were told we would be getting.
Again, thanks for all the help and effort, it is appreciated.
Regards
Zac
