Hello boys & girls,
All I can say so far, after spending the morning at the ESWC area, is that this is amazing. Once again they have managed to pull off a superb event, for both the spectators and players.
The CS tournament is played on CRT screens, which is something that REALLY helps the players to perform better, and the players just love it. No press are allowed on the player area either, which is a very good thing for the players, as they can focus 100% on their matches. Though the spectators can still view the matches really well as they can stay around the tournament area, around 2-3 meters from some of the teams screens.
There are also tv monitors spread out around the tournament area which shows live results from all the current matches, plus some of the matches that just finished.
The main stage is just... AMAZING. Seats for 5,000 (!) people, screens from all 10 and a bigscreen behind them. Can't wait untill the final matches will be played there, it will truly be a joy to watch them there.
Last night we gave it a last shot to get into the CS tournament, as me and fisker are both here, we had a long chat with the admins who were really kind but unfortunately they couldn't let us in as the last spots were filled by other countries in the waiting list (g3x was replaced by ID Gaming from Germany) and if another team would drop it would be a French team to replace them. So next year hopefully!
The CS tournament has contained quite a few upsets already, Begrip from Sweden lost against Begrip from Russia, A-gaming from Ukraine and k23 from Khazakstan.
Mousesports are also out of the tournament after the first day after beating Dignias but then lost to TR.Victory from China. Dignitas beat TR.Victory which ment that the group was decided on rounds - and mouz did win the least number of rounds in total.
That's all for now, the female tournament starts any minute so I'm going to head out and grab some nice pictures for you guys!
