Judge from outer apperance ?!

Lately it seems that lots of people enjoying giving famous esports related people names. From "burgerking" to "fat geek", all of those sentences have been used to describe serveral players from known teams - is that just sarcasm or real statements ?
In school you get taught not to jugde from outer appearance. You'll get told to get known to a person before you start saying something bad about him, or at least stay in a neutral position. In the modern lifestyle I've noticed that less people take care about those "behaviour agreements", so I've asked myself one question:
"Do they just envy the victim because he's better in something or do they have fun with calling him names ?"
The first aspect seems to be quite logical since the "victims" are mostly known faces (as I mentioned earlier), so picking this answer would normally explain the situation, but what if not ? DO people really "like" calling other people names ? Not because of envy or something like that, just because they "enjoy" it - if that might be true, we should ask ourselves in what kind of surreal world we live in.
State your opinions in the comments, I would apreciate it :)

Their could be sever related issues why proffesional players get flamed by other players.
1:- Players who arent skilled enough tend to Flame proffesional players because they do envy their talent and the players know themselfs that they will never match up to it so the best way to get back at the Proffesional players is to flame them.
2:- Maturity plays a big factor in e-Sports today, Immature kids who are trying to be a proffesional wannabe tend to get jelious so do what any other immature kid would do.. Go and flame them.. Call them names under the sun!
Do they have fun doing this? We don't know that.. Only the players themselfs know that. My personal opinion, I don't think they get the enjoy of doing it.. But its the only way to try and get back to the better players who are initially better than them.
"Do they just envy the victim because he's better in something or do they have fun with calling him names ?"
about that: I don't think they have fun with calling them names, they're just jealous because someone is better then they are. only my opinion :)
dont seem to realise how pathetic it looks for them to be insulting someone they dont even know.
most of the people who laugh at others are just immature, and most of them grow up sooner or later.
unfortunately, there are a lot people out there who can only enhance their self confidence by laughing at others.
the most important thing is not to get to excited when someone anonymus laughs at you.
as an Israeli, I see a lot of racist comments on different web sites around the world.
apparently some kids do not understand that we, israeli teenagers around the net, have nothing to do with the current situation in our country nor affected it some way. we are here just to have some good time, just like any other teenager in any other country.
personaly, I don't hate these kind of people.
when I see a comment as you mentioned above, only one thing comes across my mind.
"thank god I'm not like him".
but there are alot of people who do, and there are some types of those people...
there are the kids who are just ignorant, and probably pissed off about something in their life, but mostly,
just a dumb bored kid.
he's making fun out of some guy on the net, just because the way he look, and honestly, making fun about someone just because he's overweight or something like that, only shows what a low person that guy is, and I bet that there are alot people who are fat for them selves, but make fun about someone else who is fat, just to feel better.
alot of them, have a low self esteem and self confidence, and they make fun about someone, just to feel better about them selves.
some of them are jealus, and try to make the other look bad, so they could look better, to feel better. "So what if I suck at what I do, the other guy is fat, he's more pathetic than I am!", a very common approach too.
all of these type, are most likely kids, who will grow up eventually, some of them are already above 18, but since they are most likely just ignorant and dumb, instead of trying to make something out of them selves, they rip on, others to feel good aand in my opinion, this is just really, really pathetic.
for everyone who is reading this, by being nice and acting mature, you'll gain alot more than being mean shallow.
stop judging people you don't even know, especially over the net, you will just look like a complete asshole.
Be nice to people on your way up, because you'll meet them on your way down.

sure is an interestin bit'a'text x)
i think a big majority of flamers are just gamers with nothing to do, who are basically bored, and I doubt any of them enjoy flaming as such, some (hehe) might even realise they're not doing anything nice or funny;p
fight fire with fire, send 'em to teh camps ;D
I totally agree.
But im affraid theres people like that in this world, everyone else that has brain cells knows that the world is a evil place full of jealous little kids who like to take the oppertunity to make fun of people because there overweight or because of some other flaw they like to see.
It really is what counts on the inside, i really agree with that. who would you prefer to have as a friend?
1) someone who is so called "overweight" but is the nicest person you know and helps you out when your in trouble and becomes a true friend
2) or someone who likes to label themselvs as "cool" who likes to kick you when your down and make fun of the way you look so you can change your ways to suit them.
i think the answer is obvious.. :)
Anyways just my 2 cents (love saying that :D)
if someone is fat, its only FAIR to call them fat, and its their fault for being ashamed of what they are, but thats what the 'community' and 'surreal' world we live in tells them (that they shud be ashamed of being fat etc)
maturity doesnt REALLY play a big factor. Ive seen some very mature people completely lose it and say every name under the sun, doesnt mean their immature, its just peoples ignorancy and stereotyping that labels young people as immature.
skill? its a video game. anyone who causes grieve because they arent as good at that game as the person their 'calling' shud stop and THINK.
But i also call unknown players who are ugly and fat who judged me first, this way as well. It's fun to show that in the end- they are nothing but a fat computer addicted ugly kid-who is dumb, who doesnt think about their life and doesnt think about life itself, whats important to achieve and what not. If someone like this starts flamin me, i cant hold it back and i start tellin whats on my mind. kinda superficial and childish but i think he'd deserve it...
To offend someone who is known all leads back to attention and immaturity i think. But wheres the diffrence if someone like a commedian makes jokes about actions and appearance about a person whos in the spotlight?! I dont see any... or wouldnt you laugh about that?
