Maturity

Maturity is something that holds a vote in every aspect of life. You have to be mature at home so your family will respect you and you can set and example to your brothers or sisters, you have to be mature in school, study hard and don’t let the other stupid kids bug you and never be like them and hit back or flame. You have to be mature when it comes to your friends or girl friends, to show them you are smart and you understand life, to show them how to act and of course when it comes to your girl friend, show her you protect her, and you know how to take care of her. Maturity also takes a vote in gaming as well, you wouldn’t want to see players from the upper level acting all childish and laughing on the others.
Gaming, as in life is considered a respectful sport, in my eyes. Millions of people from all over the world play the games it offers, competing to be the best and win the prizes, trying to achieve more and even become better. Everyday you can see more and more players coming in; you can easily compare it to a normal sport like football. Even though we see many fights, or flaming or idiotic situations in football or such you can still see the maturity in these sports, the players respect each other, show gratitude, practicing hard and always help each other, and even when a player changes his team, he is still the same man in his new team and still shows and gets respect.
I have to say it is almost the same in gaming, there are many top teams who show respect to one an other and even when changing their team they are still the same, but gaming is more built from teenagers then actual grownups. I consider grownups to be someone above the age of 20 in my opinion this is the age of real maturity, of course there will always be the ones to break it and be childish even in this age but still I think it’s the actual age when people start to understand life better. You can see that most of the football teams consist of players above or 20 years old guys, but in football you don’t have professional or not professional, every team that plays the game considered as a pro team, there are the better ones and there are the less better ones, just as gaming, you have Complexity and you have Team3D for now they are both professional teams and still complexity is better, for the time being.
I can't say that it is the small kids who lower the amount of respect and maturity in our world community, because there are many grownups that are acting with no respect and childish. But I do think that the gaming hasn’t reached its possible mature level, we can all learn from each other and become better persons. Many think of it as only a game, something you can cheat in, or don’t consider it as a sport or something serious, but many of us out there especially the professional players think it is a sport and something that should be very serious. I think the ones who wont take it serious should do it alone or with the others who feel the same but never come to places where gaming is considered as something serious because then we will have a situation we don’t want for it to happen, then we will see no respect, fighting, flaming, and a huge lack of maturity.
The community is also a part of all of this; I am not talking only about the pro gamers, but also the ones who view them. If the community can take on it self to be more mature, to show more respect, to show good will, and to show they are all understanding and good people then even the pro gamers, teams, organizations, and websites, everyone can act the same and be better. A pro gamer looks at his fans as the most valuable thing that keeps him going, if fans can show respect not only to the ones they fan but also to the ones they don’t, so they gaming can keep up running, we will be playing in a much better place. Take to consideration that when you cheer for a player and respect him and he feels great and then another spectator comes and flame him that makes him feel worst, and as his fan you wouldn’t want it to happen and so are other fans, so start respecting the gaming as a community, be mature and respect all and not only those you love because you will never know when you will need one's hand for help. This goes to websites also, the ones who comment and spam and do all they can to make our life miserable, can you explain your point for that you are doing it? Because I don’t understand, you all need to respect the writers who work hard to bring you the news and to help you be more active and understand the scene, you have to respect the other members of the site who comment, and give their opinions on the subject so you can see what they think, and maybe learn from them and change your own thoughts on the subject, even writers can learn from one's opinion and not only by thinking to himself.
Hope you got my point, hope to see some changes, hope to see even little kids in the age of 14 acts like grownups and be mature, hope to see this community rise up and the professional gaming getting even more professional.
Be mature, Ron.
