Sounds familiar? It does for sure!
Now you could think it is very different from last year, but we know it is not. Last year we faced mTw in the semis, playing them on stage, losing the first map, winning the second and then losing the whole match on the third map, giving way to mTw to meet fnatic in the overall final. The second semi was MYM playing fnatic and reading the above, we know the outcome...

Tomorrow fnatic will face wicked (MYM) and we will face mTw. Just like last year, we had to beat mibr to enter this match and the opener was EG, a new formed team that just played their first tournament a week ago in Korea, losing to Mousesports in the quarterfinals. It seems they have found themselves, as they played way stronger than a week prior to Moscow.
Mibr was strong, too. Many predicted them to come out strong in Moscow as rumour has it they have been playing 24/7 at Inferno Online within the last weeks.
Does it matter? No, it does not. Except for the mousesports story, this tournament was great. Very good Counter Strike for sure and I think the three best teams in the world entered the semis for sure with fnatic and mTw being the strongest.
We will see what happens. Will Carn, f0rrest and GetRight play their a-game like in Korea and so far in Moscow? If so the semis will be a walk in the park and any opponent, be it mTw or SK will have a very very hard time beating them. So they are my favourite atm.
I don't want to disrespect wicked, but from what I have seen within the last 10 days, they are far behind fnatic.
Will history repeat itself and will mTw come back as strong as expected after losing to fnatic in Korea? Are they slipping into a crisis? Is SK strong and confident enough to prevent them from entering the Grand Final? I doubt it. The Dans are back on track if you ask me. This tournament was no threatening competition for them so far to be honest and my guts tell me they are as calm as could be and have found their way to make it easy on themselves and walk straight into taking revenge on fnatic tomorrow.
Our team is the number 3 right now. They could surprise us all, but I doubt it. The matches vs. EG and mibr were close ones and maybe the team was atthe edge already. It remains to be seen.
My prediction is SK vs wicked for the 3rd place decider with SK winning and fnatic beating mTw in the Grand Final, underlining they are the #1 right now...
But then again, this is just what I think now, is it?

No pressure on my team, they have proven themselves among the best 3 in the world. They can beat both mTw and fnatic at any day.
trust me walle and co will crush mtw today!
So believe in your team !! :)
Go Go SK vs Fnatic in Final take 2!
Besides that the constant rotating gay rainbow style advertising made me crazy (thank god I'm no epileptic) I think SK had a hard time against EG and mibr, both teams be it EG and especially mibr have been a challenge and SK came out victorious without beeing sovereign. So far good job, but nothing outstanding and somehow weaker than they played in Korea in their group of death.
So I think they will finish 3rd in best case, getting to the final would be a pleasant surprise nonetheless. Zet had some "on fire" moments, walle underperformed a bit in my opinion missing some extremely important AWP shots but all in all they played some great maps as a team and there is some spirit. Another day another dollar they say and so maybe tomorrow we'll see a totally different SK than today which can repeat their group of death gameplay from last week.
About the other teams.
If you see how and against whom wicked played I wouldn't be surprised if they get raped tomorrow by fnatic.
They already underdelivered in Korea and I doubt they will stand any chance against fnatic tomorrow with cArn and GeT_Right playing some of the best CS I've seen in a while. I think fnatic is an absolute tournament team, the further they advance in a tournament the harder it gets to stop them grabbing a title.
Nonetheless mTw still is my personal favorite for this event. I'm pretty sure they were more or less pissed how they performed in Korea and are hungry for the KODE5 title and they showed quite often they can beat anyone playing their a-game.
So my final prediction will be fnatic vs mTw in the overall final and SK sending wicked home crying like little girls for 3rd place.
The outcome of tomorrows final will be based on the performance the teams show in the semi final.
If both fnatic and mTw will deliver their a-game we'll see one of the most exciting matches of 2009 I'm pretty sure.
Just my two cents.
@comments I have read here:
You guyz are getting little emotional here and not talking objectively. On the one side is being a fanboy...that is itself a different level and I totally respect that..On the other side is analysis....Just calmly look into the fact that mTw is already playing their A level game..and this has been going on from a lot of time.Even against fnatic in Korea, they played their A game @inferno,but it was just that fnatic was at their top level too and if you have seen the match you already know the difference between the two teams -it was just minute.Defeating Alternate which is world class team so easily,I really think they rooting for final..
But . though I am fnatic fanboy, I am little worried about the finals and I am quite sure that If even one player of fnatic doesnot perform at their top level..mTw is going to take the gold.
just my 2 cents..
best. comment. ever.
