These days one of my favourite songs popped up in my head. Reason: I was at IFA in Berlin, while two of our Painkiller guys and the SK.SWE team played CPL UK.
The results, well we all know them. Zyz got 3rd and that is all I was quite happy about. The rest...well, it's times like these you learn to live again...(Foo Fighters, for thos of you that haven't recognized yet and want to know).
Of course everyone expected the SK.SWE team to finish top 3. They were seeded 1st, so let's go for the title I'd say. It turned out to be the other way around.
What comes next is pretty clear, most of the community will go and say, well, the team is not that good and so on.
I had my thoughts on it and have to say I totally disagree. Competition in CS tournaments has grown a lot and teams prepare really professionell for a weekend to show their skills.
This weekend there were other teams that played just better than our team did.
Actually I guess that is how it goes!
Next tournament, WCG qualification, followed by WEG qualification is at hand and everyone has to focus on these two now. There is no time for being disapointed, even though you are...
Anyway, all I want to say is sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you, that's CounterStrike :)
Let's wait and see what happens next. No time to lean back and take a rest now, only time to prepare to be on top again in two weeks maybe.
