I have a thing for shiny purples, but something I don't really have a thing for is purples that simply wont drop, or shitty itemization.
Perfectionist as I happen to be, atleast when it comes to my fattyfattycow, I want things complete and finished. Ever since I first set foot in Karazhan in my brand new blues and no tactics I've been waiting for Terestians Stranglestaff. Since then about 40 clears, without a staff. Okay now there's s3 and other items incoming aswell, but the fact that I've been grinding that instance for nothing but that staff whilst four warglaives have passed through raids I've been in annoys me slightly. Quite ironic how percents play with you, or how I was forced going to a >T4 instance for months while others flash their t6 quality (or even legendary) weapons just cause Blizzard is too thick to fix itemization.
Okay, we have the notably decent weapon Pillar of Ferocity, but most druids still prefer the Wildfury Greatstaff cause of the dodge, and I dont blame them. I'd like the chance to actually loot a weapon and feel like "woah, this is great this is the best it could be", but that's so far never happened. I think it's fucked up, honestly, that a t5 weapon trumps t6. Or how most feral druids seen still wear T4-5 quality trinkets together with T6 gear. Simply cause there aint anything better. Whilst most classes cheer at their Hyjal exalted rings I took an offspecc one, simply cause the tank-ring sucks ass for a feral tank. The melee ring is awesome, but I rarely dps, and when I do it's pathetic output anyway.
Generally, I guess I'm just sick of playing a druid, sick of the jack-of-all-trades bullshit. The restoration-tree got its specialization with TBC, it's something unique and different from every other healing-class whilst the feral tree still is stuck with the parent-class ordeal. Just cause druids can do many things it doesn't mean they have to be mediocre at it, atleast not in my opinion. It's not like they can do it all at once, it requires heavy specialization into a tree. Maybe I'm just hoping for a change, I'd love to be able to compete on damage-meters as a feral. Don't tell me how you've won this and that damagemeter, boot that dps of yours instead. Mmm I might do what most would say, reroll dps and stfu, but not just yet.
Bet most of this doesn't even make any sense, but rant is rant.

Fortsätt ni, 'Rawket' så går jag hem

Meanwhile, I have also seen some lvl 70 mages still using Full T2 for the proc, and they say they love it... /shrug.
However, in my experience a druid specd resto can still tank somewhat, can still pump out the dps somewhat, but of course a set of gear pertaining to each stance (bear/cat/owl/tree) would help..
In what solarsystem? You don't tank anything/dps anything properly with a resto specc. To do something properly as a druid it requires heavy talent investment together with gear. I'm ranting about not wanting to do things the mediocre way, yet you talk about it :P Who the hell wants to do so-so dps, so-so tanking, so-so healing?
get another one, there are plenty.
And Feral druids are imba, cause they can both tank, and go dps on boss. Sure they don't do top dps, but hey, if you wanne be a great dps-er as a druid? go balance.
and if you do not want to be so-so in any of the 3 areas, then drop resto.
What I was saying, is that even as resto-spec, you can do dps, tank, or healing. However, like you kindly pointed out what 99.99% of people already know, you wont be topnotch, but if you had a tank set and went bear you could still tank, whereas you wouldnt do as well as a feral bear, you can do it.
so qq, you have one of the easiest and most versatile classes...
get another one, there are plenty."
No, at the time there wasn't anything equal or better.
