Hook Ups at ESWC 07

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Jul 17, 2007 06:58

I may not be at ESWC this year but seemed like a lot happened.. and not in the tournament department either! Please keep in mind I'm no longer involved in the gaming scene but I still get the scoop on things and thought for those of you who ARE in the scene, you might get tickled reading em so here goes.
I haven't verified if any of this is true, I've just been so busy with work and makin' that money haha. I'm sure if it isn't true, I'll hear from the people I'm wrting about but seriously just bare in mind. I have nothing against any of these people, it's just gossip I'm hearing. ;) Some of them are just TOO good to pass up so on with the show!
Hook Ups at ESWC
Every year, when ESWC comes around, thousands of spectators attend as well as Pro-Gamers (both girls and guys alike). From speaking with other gamers, I guess it rings true. It's literally a f**ck fest. Maybe for not all of the people hookin' up there but either way they DID hook up ;).
For 2007's ESWC this is what I have. Ever since Oskar/ins from Fnatic broke up with his long time girlfriend, he's been playin' the field and he's playin alright... with Cazzidy that is. Rumor has it he arrived to the after party cuddlin' and kissin' with Cazzidy. Talk about seXy!
They aren't the only ones huggin' and kissin' though. Persika got lost in f0rest somewhere! Okay.. that was abit cheezy, I admit but anywho, Persika and f0rest was gettin' it on "in da club" but who knows if that will continue since ESWC is over. Didn't she have a fiancee that was a DJ whom she had been with since forever? Oh well, what do I know. I suppose someone got screwed somewhere and I'm not talkin' about the bedroom! LOL
Another person who was willing and trying his hardest to put the sexy moves on was Kuben from Pentagram. He tried to bring sexy back with Foxxy. I'm not sure if he succeeded or not haha but I'm sure I'll be hearin about it soon enough.
SK.Ladies took the championship home and with it came Taz.. at least for Miss Harvey anyways. Maybe she didn't take him all the way home to Canada but they were seen leavin' the party together. Hehe. I wonder what "Congratulations" award he ended up givin' her!
I'm not sure if what I'm about to write is true or not. Some say it is and others say it isn't but remember Bady? I thought she was with Jason but it's been awhile since I last spoke to her, maybe they are not together anymore? Some people are saying she screwed around with Ferg, while others are saying she didn't. She was just drunk out of her mind and grindin' on the dance floor with him. What do YOU think happened?
Last but not least, we have Fisker from SKGaming. They didn't attend ESWC as a team but Fisker was there doing some coverage.. coverage of Pachella maybe? Haha J/K. I haven't spoken to this guy for awhile either but last I heard he thought she was "HOT". I wonder if the hunter got his prey. tisk tisk. I heard they hooked up at ESWC so good for both of them. They seem like they would make a good match don't they?
So there you have it, all the hook ups for this year at ESWC! ;) Thanks to everyone who has decided to "update" me so I could write out a little somethin' somethin' for them to read when they're bored.
If you hooked up at ESWC. YAAAY for you and if you didn't, don't worry too much. Life's a bitch... then you marry one! LOL

WSVG NY & CPL Dallas

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang

I felt compelled to write a blog right now just because:
1) I can’t sleep due to coughing/stuffy nose
2) There hasn’t been an updated photo gallery since CPL started
3) I thought at least some of you would like to read this if you are bored
WSVG Summary
To start off I guess I will recap on what happened at WSVG New York so here goes.
Just a few days after I returned home from visiting Sweden, I hopped on a plane headed for New York for WSVG. I almost did not make it to this event because I was never informed by SK that I would be going until I asked. Everything was last minute it seems but it worked out for the better.
I have traveled with SK.swe alone for about 7 months now. Taking pictures, writing blogs and whenever they allowed, I took videos of them. Some are on my youtube site and the best ones are always saved for SKInsiders.
As you all know, I am not alone this time because Neikon is also here as well. Although we may have different roles to fulfill it is quite an experience if I may say so myself.
Anywho back to WSVG New York, there were a lot of unexpected wins and losses. I even spoke to Trevor (Midway) from GotFrag and he expressed the same thoughts I had. Most of the team we expected to win and go through didn’t and in the end regardless if how the results were, Attax took home 50 grand and some kick ass Rolex watches to show off to their friends.
Sk.swe lost to Attax which was the first match they had. The teams present expected SK.swe to win this match as well as the guys themselves but favor was not on their side. I firmly believe there were some unnecessary distractions but I won’t get into that. After losing the match to Attax, SK.swe guys were really disappointed. They were so disappointed even I was afraid to talk to them. The only one I wasn’t afraid to say anything to was Fisker because he is always so “happy go lucky”. I have learned after traveling with these guys right after a losing match, they need their own space or cave to crawl in and I let them do just that. Regardless of the flame that went on they got right back on track the next day!
The second match they had was against Complexity. We all know Complexity is one of the top teams in the U.S. and boy was I surprised at the outcome. It was such an intense and close game, when SK won I was surprised! Oh if only you guys were there you would be yelling and jumping for joy! I was ecstatic and without words I was so pumped up just like the guys were. After this match they were supposed to play against Fnatic but due to a loss against a team earlier in the day, Fnatic had been told they could go back to the hotel (which they did). It was already so late and after some talk with the admins SK.swe headed home. The match against Fnatic was to be played early in the morning. Did they go out drinking to celebrate the win against Complexity? No, as a matter of fact they went back to the hotel and slept very early!
Morning comes and the guys woke up REALLY early. It was so early I thought I was dreaming at one point! I headed down to the lobby with the guys and well the transportation which the WSVG admins said would be there to take both teams to the event center wasn’t there. They waited and waited and waited. Sks.we on one end of the lobby and Fnatic on the other. If there was a couch in the middle, I’d be the one sitting on it!
This day they would not play in the studio as previous days, they would be playing in the player warm up area. If you look at the pictures you can see how small the area is. That isn’t the worse of it though, both teams were playing back to back and since both are Swedish it just made things even worse! To me both teams are good teams but of course my choice to win was SK.swe and for obvious reasons! I thought they had this match in the bag as well. The guys were feeling refreshed and they were ready for it but somehow things didn’t work out for them and Fnatic knocked them out of the tournament. Yet another loss they had to overcome before CPL Winter. You guys may not know it but every loss these guys face, the look of defeat in their eyes makes me feel so bad for them. That’s not even the worse thing, the worse thing is going on their home site and reading the flame. Oh how people jump on the bandwagon heh.
With Sk.swe out of the tournament they still stuck around till the end watching the games. Once the tournament was over, it was time to find a new home. All the players that attended WSVG got a brand new Fatal1ty brand computer to take home. Literally the next day we spent it at the hotel waiting for the FedEx guy to come pick up six computers (Toxic’s included). If I had taken pictures that day all you would see would be the hotel and nothing else. ;p Luckily I didn’t!
The rest of the 3 days in New York the guys spent sight seeing. If you haven’t been to New York, my advice is take A LOT OF MONEY. It is so expensive there ugh. Anyways, the guy wanted to see a lot of the attractions but soon found out it was not feasible because of the outrageous prices. We all wanted to go on the helicopter tour but for 2 ½ minutes, it was 65.00 per person!!! The best place for me to visit in New York was the Statue of Liberty. I have long wanted to see her standing tall. I have seen her so many times on television and to be so close to her was just magnificent! It didn’t mean all that much to the Sk.swe guys but I pushed them to take pictures in front of it. It won’t mean anything to them now but when they grow old and gray it will be a different story hehe.
It was in New York that I lost a battery to my camera. Instead of having three batteries I now only have two. ? It really sucks because now my picture taking and especially videos will have to be limited! Oh well..
I left New York before the guys did to Dallas, Jonas waited for me at the airport in Dallas but due to misunderstandings and miscommunication when I landed it took us an hour to find each other. When we finally found each other we didn’t even kiss ?, I was wondering where he had been all this time and he was thinking I would land later, it was just horrible ?.
CPL Winter
Once we found each other we took a taxi to the hotel and the cab driver was pretty ghetto. He missed the off ramp to get off and drove over the grassy hill. I had to brace myself against the seat because he was slamming on the breaks. NO TIP FOR YOU! LOL
Unlike the hotel in New York where the rooms were all connected, ours was on the same floor but spaced out. Vilden and Allen shared a room, Fisker and Snajdan (The smellys) shared a room and Jonas and I shared a room. I thought Neikon would be rooming with us but as it turns out he had his own room.
Neikon only hung out with Sk.swe the first day they got to New York, WSVG. I don’t know if he is shy or if they are shy but the conversations were just not happenin’ heh. Anywho during CPL I hardly saw Neikon but that’s probably because I have been so sick.
How did I get sick you may ask? Well in the rooms they have AC blowing and Jonas had turned ours down, I wanted him to turn it off but forgot to tell him so he left it on. Anyways during the first night I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe. My nose was stuffy as hell and well the rest is history. The stuffy nose turned into a congested chest followed by a very sore throat. I couldn’t even swallow or talk the next day because it just hurt so much. That soon followed with a fever and now I have a cough. I have just been in bed for the past two days on drugs trying to get myself better! Hence no picture galleries for the first two days of CPL.
Even though I have been really sick I still follow the games, the SK.swe games that is. So far they are doing good. Yesterday after they had won the first group stage, Jonas actually woke me up and I did an interview with him. If you haven’t seen it, I say DOWNLOAD IT, he tells you about his thoughts on WSVG New York, what he thinks will happen for the next year and what his thoughts are for CPL along with a few rumors I asked him about.
I am really happy they are doing so good, today they also won the second group. If they keep this up they will get very far and I don’t want to jinx it so I won’t say it but yeah! If it doesn’t go as planned, I will still support them. Jonas actually dragged me down to watch a few of the matches today and all I could think about was bed.
I have been getting a lot of messages about how they are feeling. They are feeling pretty relaxed and every night they talk strats, they take it easy and they sleep early. I remind them when I can to just do their best!
Today’s shockers include Team3D losing to Turmoil I believe (correct me if I am wrong) and NiP getting knocked out of the tournament.
I don’t know what tomorrow holds but I am really tired now. I have tried for the past few days going down to the event floor and taking some pictures for you guys but well after standing for about ten or fifteen minutes I felt so light headed I had to come back up to lay down.
Since there is no photo album I think I will see what I can do tomorrow, maybe I will go down and take some pictures so I can upload it. It’s not good I am in bed though because I have viewed the albums from Gotfrag and Fragbite and well since they have professional cameras their pictures capture all the emotion! That is really discouraging since I only have a crappy camera. I have tried many times to capture emotions but it never turns out hehe. Oh well!!!!! Something is better than nothing right?!
The internet also runs out tomorrow ? and ugh it is so crappy here at the hotel as well. It dies like every two minutes and takes forever to reconnect! Now it is time for me to go to sleep so I can feel better. I am supposedly leaving on December 20 (my birthday) but maybe a miracle will happen and I get to spend it here until SK.swe goes home on Sunday morning.
-Sk.swe guys through my eyes, what I will always remember-
Snajdan is just funny. He reminds me of a little boy lost always afraid to find himself or venture off across the street to get the ball which has rolled there so he has to hold someone’s hand. In this case it would be Jonas’s. He is very outspoken but can be shy at times. When he is playing CS with the boys he is no longer the scared little boy afraid to cross the street but the guy who has an amazing aim. Since I have this habit of overanalyzing people and usually the first thing I see after I study someone is the animal they resemble, my take on Snajdan is he is an ostrich. I love watching him eat because the way he chews and makes noises is just HILARIOUS. I can’t even describe it.
Allen is seeing the world one city, one country at a time. Very introverted and very honest. If you want to know something, ask him and he will coyly answer with a slight turn away (which is what makes him cute). Soft spoken and down to earth he is a diamond in the rough (at least in CS). The SK.swe guys are definitely influencing him in more ways then one HEHE. When he is playing CS, he is so much fun to watch and he is simply a rising star. The animal I see in Allen is a cartoon droopy dog.
Fisker, who doesn’t love Fisker. Everyone loves Fisker and they have every right to. With all the picture taking I have done and the videos I have taken he is by far my favorite person to film. He is funny, outgoing, personable, fruity, generous and I can go on and on and on but I won’t. In my eyes he is definitely the PR person for SK.swe. Definitely not camera shy at all. The camera loves him and he loves the camera! That’s Fisker for you. He passes gas all the time and sometimes it is very toxic but hey that’s just Fisker for you. No matter what happens in life or where he goes he will have no problems adapting. In CS, I guess my favorite moments would be those where he uses the sniper rifle. He is just so good at it! When I look at Fisker I see a sheep dog, the kind with the long hair which covers the eyes. Sits atop the mountain top looking down guarding the sheeps. HEHE
Vilden, what can I say about Vilden except he is unpredictable. Sometimes he reminds me of when I am on my period. I don’t talk to him as often as I want to, and mainly because he is always so busy chatting with girls etc but hey if it is his forte it’s his forte heh. He has his own unique style and regardless of what anyone else says if he doesn’t like it, no one can change his mind except maybe his girlfriend! He doesn’t say much to me and I don’t know him that well but for me when it comes to CS, the thing I remember most about him is him always elevating himself. Whether it is sitting on two chairs or two pillows he has to have it just right or it won’t go right. I guess the only thing I would like for him to be more open to is having his picture taken or videos of him. He is also a very funny guy and I hate to say it but at times he is even funnier than Fisker. Vilden to me is the flat fish. The kind that lays on the bottom of the ocean which has eyes on top of the body.
Jonas, hm I don’t know what to say about him really. There are too many things but he is very friendly and personable as well. If at all he is the fall guy in Sk.swe. Most of the time you will see him doing interviews for the team and in certain situations he is always taking lead, making sure the guys are okay. He’s just a nice guy, what can I say. He doesn’t have ill feelings towards anyone and well he is very opinionated. I find that I have to argue with him many times when we have a general conversation because he has to always be right but that’s Jonas for you in a nutshell. As far as CS goes, I met him when he was in 4kings. His game play from my eyes has always been consistent. He has never been HELLA GOOD and then HELLA BAD. He tips even in the scale and well sometimes I think his focus on CS needs to be cut down so he can focus on me but oh well, I want him to do good so I don’t mind. Jonas isn’t an animal to me, I can’t see an animal when I look at him but what I do see is the cartoon character Alvin from “Alvin and the Chipmunks”.

SK At WSVG NY: Day 1

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang

Everyone has been wondering about my blogs from WSVG New York. I was originally going to write them but after speaking with Alex he said they were not that important. I feel however I must write them. It isn’t only something for me to read back later on and remember what exactly happened but I think for most readers who are not insiders they are the ONLY outlet to finding out what the SK.swe guys are doing behind the scenes, plus BDS said to post them hehe.
Arrival day for me (December 8th)
I don’t even know where to start when I talk about my first day flying into New York. I woke up at 4:30am, got dressed and headed to the airport. I got there at 5am, did the usual stuff (going through security, etc). Caught my flight which left right on time at 6am. I had a connecting flight in Phoenix, Arizona and that is where the fun had begun.
When I first got to the Phoenix airport, I went to the gate and found out the hotel I have booked in Newark is two hours away from where I was flying into which was JFK airport in NY. It would cost me 100.00 dollar to get a shuttle to the hotel but the lady at the counter was nice enough to change my flight to fly into Newark. Once that was changed I had about 30 minutes to get to the gate before they boarded. Phoenix is such a huge airport I had to rush, it was a good 20 minutes walk to the other side of the terminal.
When I got there, I found out the flight was delayed for an hour so I went to get some food. While eating an announcement came up and I found out the flight was again delayed for four more hours. Instead of flying out at 10:05am, the flight was to fly out at 2:40pm due to bad weather. What else is there to do except to go online right? So I went online for a few hours just to kill time. Everyone was upset, everyone was pissed off, there were massive amounts of people just laying around. After waiting for about 2 hours an announcement was made saying the flight will now leave at 1:45pm instead of 2:30pm. So I waited some more, then after 20 minutes another announcement was made. This time it was a gate change. Everyone had to walk another 20 minutes to a different gate. Once we got there it was insane. People on the later flight to Newark got cancelled so we could take their plane LOL. People were pissed believe me!
I also ran into Team3D’s Warcraft player ShortRound. I tried asking him to do an interview but he refused, he said he isn’t in the mood. Totally understandable since we were catching the same flight and he waited just as long as I did. However, off camera he told me he has been busy with school a lot and this might be his last biggest event. I asked if he was nervous about playing against the other Warcraft guys and he said he really isn’t sure who will be there, he hasn’t been too focused on Warcraft.
We finally boarded the plane. It didn’t land in Newark until 8:05pm. Once it landed, I went to baggage claim, waited for my luggage for 30 minutes or so and then I went off to call a shuttle to pick me up. I was to stay one night at the same hotel Neikon is at. After calling a shuttle the person at the hotel said it would be about 20 minutes. Well it wasn’t, it ended up being a 2 hour wait. When I finally go to the hotel I was in a fit of rage already. The receptionist not giving me a room because they didn’t get a confirmation from Alex made it even WORSE for me. I totally flipped out and yelled and screamed at the receptionist. It didn’t make sense that even with a faxed over confirmation they needed Alex to call and okay the room to be charged. I was so pissed off you wouldn’t believe. They refused to give me a room.
I tried calling Neikon’s room but he didn’t pick up the phone. I had to call Jonas and he left a message on IRC for Neikon. It was then that he came down stairs. I don’t want to get into details because it will be a very long blog but in the end, Neikon loaned me the money to pay for the room (crappy hotel, crappy service for $101.00). The people at the hotel said they would charge me regardless so either way I would have to pay up.
So finally I got the room. I was to meet up with SK.swe at the airport tomorrow so I can go with Jonas and stay with him.
First day at WSVG, New York
Woke up in the morning yesterday, packed all my stuff and was still pissed from what had happened the day before. Went down to return the key and totally blew up at the lady just to let up some steam. Saw what they had for breakfast and decided to pass up on it. I swear, this must be the GHETTO-EST hotel I have ever stayed at.
Neikon and I decided to go to the airport to wait for the guys. Took a taxi there, waited for the guys to arrive. While waiting I decided to buy a cinnamon bun and some hot chocolate. Well just as luck would have it I spilled the drink on my luggage and on my only SK shirt. I had to go to the bathroom to get it cleaned up and there was a big wet mark on the shirt. I had Neikon take a picture of it but well, it came out blurry so couldn’t post it.
After waiting for SK.swe guys for about 2 hours they finally arrived. None of the guys knew where the hotel was so we had to get online to find out the address. Once that was done, we went and took a shuttle to the hotel.
The guys were to play a match against Attax at 5pm. After a very long day of traveling, all wanted to shower so they all took a shower and since we had 3 hours everyone was hungry as well. The guys didn’t go anywhere far, they in the lobby and once they were done we took a taxi to the event. Even with a big fan we were squished in the back (you can see this in the pics).
By the time they got to the event most of the matches were played. Although they were afraid they were going to be late they weren’t. Apparently when we arrived, Complexity was still playing Hacker. The match was stopped because Hacker was said to have used a Flash Bug. However, that got sorted and the match continued. Complexity lost to Hacker and it was time for Sk.swe to play Attax.
Before the match got started the guys huddled like they always do but this time Alex took them somewhere else I wasn’t allowed to go. I am not sure what was said or if it had anything to do with the way they played but I can feel the pressure on the Sk.swe guys.
I am sure there are people who thought they should have won the match, me included as well but they didn’t. They did really good as T, I saw a lot of team work, a lot of shouting and screaming (which you will see later on videos) but other than that as CT they just couldn’t keep it up. They lost to Attax and is now knocked down to the lower bracket.
If you are wondering if they are disappointed, yes they are. Not only that but to some SK.swe members it is even embarrassing to lose this match. There isn’t anything anyone can say about the performance of SK.swe but something isn’t right. Something needs to be changed and I am not a psychic or anything but I am sure we will see this soon enough if the performance continues at this rate.
After the match, the guys went to this area where they had set up for the gamers. All of the foods were gone except salad so some of the guys ate. They were talking for awhile about the match they had just played. If only I understood Swedish but I don’t. Alex was there as well. After a long while of sitting at the table and talking we were notified the shuttle has arrived to take the players to the hotel.
It was FREEZING outside and the walk seemed like forever but we finally got on the bus. Back at the hotel, the guys were very tired but they had a meeting with Alex in Snajdan and Fiskers room. I don’t know how Alex can stand it and maybe it is because he is a guy but the never ending farts from Fisker and Snajdan while I was ordering food was a bit too much for me! I am glad at the end of the night Alex ended his speech to the team with “.. and don’t far in front of Nai”.
When Jonas and I got to the hotel room, Toxic was already asleep. He is going up against Socrates today but I am confident he will win the match. I also asked Toxic this morning if he was nervous. He said he isn't nervous when it come to playing (although he heard Socrates has been practicing alot) but he is nervous only because he doesn't know what map he will choose. I told him that he will do fine regardless what his decision is. He said he had a good sleep, even in the morning when I was shuffling about so I am glad he is all set and ready to go.
For some of you who haven’t seen the pictures, it is rather hard to get good pictures of the different teams playing. The only reason why I have pictures of Complexity is because they were sitting on the side where the press has been assigned to sit. I was told since I am press I was not able to go to the side where the audience sits.
It is being held at a real live television studio as well so the floor is very small. You get two CS teams facing each other and literally a few feet away you have the Warcraft and the Quake players facing each other as well. Once the matches are done, the teams usually disappear. I will try to take a lot of pictures though.
For the finals, I will not be able to cover the event at all. It will be held at a closed studio so no press will be able to enter in there.
Today Sk.swe will be playing at 4pm. All the guys are sleeping right now but I will be taking a lot of pictures today of them just hanging around. Considering there isn’t much to cover at the event, I have make do with what I have.
BTW, Toxic snores and Jonas talks in his sleep. I am going to try and get a video of both of them while they are sleeping using my night vision cam tonight.
Once again I have videos but they will come much much later. Among the videos I have taken there is one of a pro gamer digging his nose for cold while he is playing a match. :p

DreamHack Day 2: The NEW walle

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Dec 2, 2006 13:27

Yesterday we didn’t do much. The guys slept until 2pm (basically all day) and then we all got up and left to the venue. Fisker had to ride in the trunk again and he will most likely do it for a third time today. There just isn’t enough room in the car! Last night when we got back I remember him telling me, “Word of advice. Never fart in the trunk of the car. The smell doesn’t go anywhere.” It was pretty hilarious. I think it is safe to say I have learned a lot about the Sk.swe guys. They are not shy to reveal anything whether it has to do with their sex lives, their hygiene, it really doesn’t matter. They will just spill the beans on anything!
So after we put Fisker in the car we went to DreamHack. Once we were there SK.swe had to take turns playing this game called, “World In Conflict”. At first none of them knew what they were doing but they were being coached by two guys. They were later to play a real tournament against other people who have previously played the game. I took a lot of videos because there were some really funny moments that went on. I only had 1 ½ battery left though so I had to save it. I wasn’t sure if we were going to this party later on at night that everyone is going to.
While the guys were playing I saw MIBR watching the match between Hoorai (I know they are not called that now but anywho) against BeGrip. I tried pulling aside KIKOO to ask him a few questions on camera about the match but he didn’t want to do it at all. I even tried smile and be nice look but it didn’t work. He did promise me though that he will definitely do an on camera interview at CPL Dallas. He went by where the guys were and said his hello’s and then him and the other three members of his team left. Cogu was around somewhere but he was no where to be seen. KIKOO might not have wanted to say anything on camera but off camera he told me they hadn’t practiced for two weeks so they are abit rought when it comes to playing CS at this tournament. I asked him how he thought they would do and he said, “Don’t know”. He didn’t come off as if he cared whether they won or lost or placed high or low. He seemed pretty relaxed as did the rest of the members.
We also ran into the guys from NiP. Ins has his infamous hat on and walle is definitely a changed man. He wasn’t there at first but then he tapped me on the shoulder so I turned around. He has lost even more weight and all I could say was, “Wow.” SpawN chuckled at my comments to walle so I think it gave all the other guys a tickle as well. I was in shock at how walle looked. I thought he looked great during ESWC but he looks even better now then before. I guess all that hard work in losing weight paid off!! Will he be the new “hunk” in town? I am sure the CS girls will decide this one! After chit chatting with NiP for awhile, SpawN tapped me on the shoulder. He pointed, I looked. It was Jonas telling me they were going to go eat so I left. Again no one wanted to do an on camera interview. I think it would be a lot easier if I actually had someone hold my camera because then I wouldn’t have to ask; I can just go up and start talking to them with the camera already pointed but oh well.
After about an hour or so the guys wanted to go eat. We hadn’t eaten since they got up so the person who was running the tournament gave us about an hour. We went to a restaurant where they served pizza and some other Italian food. I felt really out of place here because all the guys looked at the menu and knew what they wanted to order but of course I didn’t understand it. I don’t know where Jonas’s head was but he didn’t help me at all until I reminded him that I didn’t understand the menu. I think someone needs to learn to be a gentleman because in the USA the men order for their women but I guess this isn’t USA afterall. He will probably get mad at me I brought up this tidbit but anyways that IS what happened. We also saw a store across the street which had the lettering “Asian” in it. It was supposed to be an Asian market so while the guys were finishing their food. Jonas and I went across the street. We got into the store and it was SUCH A WANNABE Asian food store. There was nothing in there that was really Asian. I got irked so we came out of there buying nothing. We all headed back to the venue because the guys had to play “World In Conflict” again.
On the way back, Jonas received a call from this guy named Ian. He wanted to meet up with SK.swe to give them some t-shirts and caps they are supposed to wear. It’s the company that sets up the poker site for SK-Gaming. Once the t-shirts were passed out all of the guys left and told me I was in charge of making the guys wear the shirts. LOL. It was hard to get the guys to stop playing this game.
After having played it all day they finally got the hang of it. They were talking strats and everything because they had to play against four other players sitting across from them. During most of the time, I saw the guys from SK.swe whisper to each other because they didn’t want the other team to know what they were doing. It was pretty hilarious. Before the actual tournament had begun Sk.swe won 2 rounds. Each round they had to play 3 maps (it was best of 3). They won the first round by winning two maps and then the third they won 2 rounds again. However, this was only practice. After they had won the second round it was time for the real tournament. Sadly SK.swe lost in the real tournament. They got raped as gamers would put it but it was still fun to watch them play. Not only were the guys into the game but I was as well. Seeing them put team work into really trying to win was pretty awesome for me hehe. I think Fisker, Vilden were in charge of the helicopters and one area of the map and then Jonas and Allen was in charge of the tanks and another area of the map. As for Snajdan, he had his own thing to do but he did play some rounds as well.
SK.swe didn’t do anything but play “World In Conflict” for the whole day. It was nice to take a break from CS though I’m sure.
We ended up not going to the party because everyone was tired and no one wanted to even stop by. Everyone agreed they had matches tomorrow and wanted to be focused for that. I remember SpawN asking me if I was going to go to the party but of course I told him I didn’t know if we were. They were definitely gonna stop by though so I hope they had fun! It seemed like anyone who was there for CS went to this party except SK.swe.
Anyways once we got back to the hotel, Allen decided to pay us a visit. I didn’t take anymore videos of us just hanging around because I decided to give the guys a break from the camera always on them. Besides the stories that Allen was telling us couldn’t be put on camera!!!
Today the guys will play against Hoorai or what used to called Hoorai anyways. I don’t know how they will do but lets hope they will do their best (I know they will!) I will take some pictures and take some videos as well but I have only 2 batteries. I need to invest in more batteries so I don’t have to worry about using it up so fast!
I do apologize to those picture fiends out there about the amount of pictures I have taken at this event. At a LAN like this with such a small tournament area and the teams disappearing right after they play it is hard to take a lot of pictures. Unless that is if you start taking pictures of random people! Anyways the guys are just getting up and getting in the shower so another blog will be coming your way really soon!
*Videos will be coming soon, I have taken a lot but I have to compress them so you will see them after the event is over and I can edit the videos all at once so stay tuned*

DreamHack Day 1: Fisker in Trunk

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Dec 1, 2006 09:45

I woke up an hour earlier then Jonas did today. I was excited for one reason and it was the opportunity to go on a train ride to another city from Stockholm. I have been visiting Sweden on and off for about a year and half now and this is my very first time traveling in this manner. In the end all the excitement I had was all for nothing. Jonas and I dropped our stuff off at IO so the guys could pick it up in the car. We also stopped by Jonas’s place before we headed to the station where we would take the train. I didn’t know it at first but there were two stops before we got to our destination which was in Jonkoping.
The subway ride wasn’t all that bad and I realize, no matter where you are in the world, when people stare they definitely don’t do it discreetly. The very first train ride we had was not what I expected. We didn’t get the same seats and the two girls we sat by never closed their mouths the whole way. I don’t think I have ever met anyone who just kept talking and talking. It’s like the Energizer bunny, it keeps going and going. Jonas tried sleeping most of the way but with all the noise around, I doubt he got a good sleep. The girl sitting next to me was pretty rude as well. She had her bag on my table and didn’t even bother to move it! We didn’t sit in our seats for long though. I don’t think I could have survived the ride so Jonas and I decided to change to our seats. After the change, it was smooth sailing.
During the last stop before reaching our final destination, we stopped by some small town. Since there was not much else there and we only had about 40 minutes before our train came we decided to grab something to eat. We went into a bar/restaurant type place and it was pretty dead. No one was there except a weird couple who laughed at me twice. Both times were after I took a picture of this scary ass Santa Claus they had put up as a display by the bathroom. The other was a handicapped guy who barely ate his food. I think he paid more attention to us then he did his food to be honest.
When we got to Jonkoping, Vilden and Fisker were waiting for us. It was really cold and windy so I was glad we didn’t walk too far to meet up with them. When we got in the car, we were told by Vilden the event is delayed because they had some problems with the computers at the event. The drive wasn’t too far to the hotel where we stayed and when we pulled up, there was a girl standing out there. I didn’t know who it was at first but when the car approached the front door, I saw a slight smile come from her. When Vilden went out of the car he put his arms up and went to hug this girl and gave her a kiss. You guys guessed it, it’s his girlfriend! I didn’t think Vilden would ever find a girlfriend but alas he has. I don’t know about the other guys but it was a weird feeling on my part to see Vilden be affectionate like that!
Fisker, Jonas and I shared a room together. Our room was pretty nice, at least to me anyways. I took some pictures of how it looked (unlike the picture we separated our bed later). Vilden left with his girlfriend and Allen and Snajdan shared a room together. Since everything was delayed and SK.swe didn’t need to be at the event yet the guys decided to take a short nap. I ended up falling asleep for god-knows-how-many-minutes but I was so tired. All of us were woken up by Vilden’s call after awhile. He was getting ready to pick us up so we can head to the event.
I swear, the minute you walk into the venue it was HOT! I had a turtle neck long sleeve on but had to take it off at the Chinese restaurant where we ate at. It’s almost like night and day over here. Outside it is cold and windy but inside it is warm and in some areas pretty humid.
The tournament are was upstairs (you have to take escalators) to get to it. It’s actually the very first area you will see once you reach the top of the floor. It’s really small though but I thought the set up was pretty good as far as separating the teams who are playing together. Teams sat on opposite sides of each other. They’re separated by walls so the teams don’t hear each other or see each other unless you walk all the way around.
I tried to get an interview with either Fisker or Jonas before the match to ask them questions but none of them wanted to do it. I tried to get Allen too but what can I say if they don’t want to or feel like having a video interview done at the moment. I am certainly not going to nag them!
Once we were there a lot of people left the area. I didn’t see anyone from a team I recognized so grabbing video interviews were quite hard. I decided to take videos (there are a lot) of Sk.swe setting up and them playing during the three matches they had. Although I didn’t get video interviews of their thoughts before or after the game, I can tell you from speaking with the guys prior to game play they were not nervous. They shouldn’t be anyways. Sk.swe ended up winning the three matches they had today. By the time they were done playing and after Jonas had the short interview with Fragbite we left the venue at midnight.
We met up with Spawn and ins by the car. Two girls from MyM were there and another member from Seules. The only girl I recognized was aNNa. After some introductions I asked the girls if I could take a picture of them. Of course they said yes but I thought it was funny after I took the picture. I told them, “It will be posted on SK Gaming tomorrow” and they went, “Oh that’s something to look forward too.” LOL thought that was pretty funny. I found out from aNNa there was a party at the Scandic hotel and that’s why they were there. At first I didn’t recognize ins, for the first time he wasn’t wearing his hat he always wore. His head was completely shaved!! SpawN also gave me a hug once he saw me. It was great to see him again. He looked really happy for some reason and I still remember the funny moments we had when he was in SK.swe.
I didn’t know it at first but later on I found out from zet, Spawn and ins were at the hotel earlier along with aNNa and another girl getting ready for the party hehe. When I asked zet why he didn’t go party like the other guys he said they barely got any sleep so he’s really tired. (We met up with zet at our hotel by the way). Zet also told me they won all of their matches today as well (tomorrow) they are free for the whole day so he will just relax at the hotel.
Once the boys chit chatted for awhile we all called it a night. After we said our goodbyes to the guys in NiP we all decided to pack into Vilden’s car for the ride back to the hotel. Unfortunately Fisker rode in the trunk because there was no room in the car. I was in the front passenger’s seat on Jonas’s lap. Snajdan, Allen and company were in the back seat. It was pretty crowded and in that instant I was reminded of earlier this year at Krangparty. We all packed into Ahl’s car and they couldn’t close the door, it was hilarious! Check out the pictures for the picture of Fisker in the trunk, it’s really funny. LOL
Everyone was really tired so instead of writing the blog and posting pictures. I decided to just wait until morning to do it… and so here it is.
At the end of the day all three of my batteries for my camera were exhausted. It takes literally ages for my batteries to charge and as of right now I only have one full battery (charging second one). I hope I have enough to take pictures and videos for today (the second day).
I didn’t take too many photos on the first day because most of it was videos. I had no idea but taking videos totally eats up my batteries so I think pictures would be better. There wasn’t much to take of though since most of the gamers left by the time SK.swe got there. I walked around and took a few pictures of displays I thought was interesting but my camera isn’t good enough to take pictures from a far distance or in the dark.
On a more serious note though, I can only take so many pictures of SK.swe sitting down playing their matches right?. I’m sure you know what I mean. I want more pictures as I love taking them but I don’t want them to be boring! You guys will have to wait for videos though. It will give you an overview of what the event is like and they are so much better than the pictures hehe.
Today SK.swe will be doing a lot of promo stuff so I will be busy taking pictures. Note to self for today is, less videos and more pictures.
I also heard there was a party tonight. I am not sure if we are going to it or not but if we are, I want to save up some battery to take pictures and videos of course. Love to see those gamer girls and gamer guys drunk yeah? Heh..

Prelude to DreamHack Winter 06

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Nov 29, 2006 17:27

So I wasn’t going to write a blog and since Alex said blogs are not necessary at DreamHack I am not sure if I will write more after this one. I’m only writing right now cuz I am quite bored at Inferno Online.
I came here with Jonas yesterday and met up with the guys from SK.swe again. The last time I saw them was during WSVG London.
Not much has changed except the guys seem ready to welcome in the cold season. Allen is very comfortable with the guys and I love his hat! It has a purple pom on the top, it’s just so cute! The hat looks pretty warm too!
This is also the first time I have seen Vilden without his hair done in the unique style he has. Maybe it is a new change or maybe he just doesn’t feel like doing his hair these days! I am afraid to ask so I’ll just wait and see how he styles it. Either way he is still the good ole Vilden, just with a different look. Fisker has grown out a little mustache and if you look close enough you can see a beard growing in but his face is still pretty bare. Does he fall into the category of hairless guys? I think so! I totally missed Snajden’s shaved head. His hair has grown back and this time around he seem to be more sociable.
Nothing much has changed in Inferno Online except the guys practice room isn’t filled with unused monitors anymore. Now there is a big statue of a fake guy holding a gun. I think it’s a mock up of someone from Counter Strike but that thing looks pretty damn scary! The room connecting the main room to the SK.swe practice room is a lot cleaner now as well. There are two couches and two small tables (that’s where I am sitting at right now). Lucky for me, I can connect my laptop to an Ethernet cable daggling down the side of the wall! Otherwise I would just sit behind Jonas and watch him practice all day!
I also found out yesterday that aNNa works at Inferno Online and she has been for a few months. I haven't seen her though. I also found out some of the best teams from ESWC this year (girl teams) will be at DreamHack for some competition. Should be interesting to see! However, SK.Ladies will not be there to participate! DARNIT...but guess what? They will be playing at CPL Winter as the only female team there competiting against all the guy teams. LOL, that will be a sight to see wouldn't it?! Anywho..
Time sure flies when you’re having fun! I thought we still had another day left before DreamHack but I was told today it starts tomorrow! Jonas and I will be taking the train down to Jonkoping, the other guys will be riding down with Vilden in his car. I’ve never taken the train on a long trip before so this will be exciting for me. I am sure it will be very boring for Jonas though. However since we will be traveling together it will kill some time.
Sk.swe have been practicing all day yesterday and today. At times I can hear the guys yelling and if I didn’t know any better, I would definitely think they were playing a real tournament. They were yelling and screaming like there was no tomorrow! Was pretty crazy too! That’s what they do all day everyday at IO. Practice, yell, practice, food, practice, yell, practice some more. Whether it is playing on the CSDM, Gather or Aim maps, whether it is playing practice games with Fnatic or other teams, just from the yelling it sounds really intense! I am definitely glad they are getting their game on!
Hyper came by to visit today and he’s still hanging around socializing with the guys and watching them play. I’ve decided to give the guys some space so I came out here to get online.
My camera is charging at home so I can take pictures at DreamHack again. We will see how much video footage and pictures I get this time around. This will be my last tournament in Sweden before I head home on Wednesday!

SK At WSVG London; Day 4

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Oct 10, 2006 12:36

… Early bird
this morning, I woke up at 7am and Jonas was still asleep. We were all supposed to meet in the lobby at 9:05am to taxi over to the tournament area. I decided to shower, get dress and then summarize my day for yesterday since I have no time to write out the whole thing. Jonas ended up waking at 8:45am but we made it on time. We were both down at the lobby first. We never knew but our rooms included a continental breakfast. I told Jonas we wouldn’t have time to eat at the buffet but he said we did so we stood in line. I was right though because Fisker and Snajdan soon came down and after they spoke for awhile, we all decided to take a taxi to the event center right away.
… The SK shirt
Vilden and Allen left after us because they got went the wrong way in the elevator but eventually all met up at the venue. On our way to the venue, we stopped at Starbucks to grab some food but the muffin made me and Jonas sick so we just drank our hot chocolate and left. On our way into the event center, we saw Alex through the window of another Starbucks. The guys went in there and signed the SK shirt Alex had.
Jonas met up with Grubby by the escalator and they started talking for a bit. We started going up the escalator but was stopped by two security guards. They wouldn’t let us in, even though we told them they had a match going on right now and need to get set up. It was really exhausting to walk up the escalators (they were not turned on yet) and then have to walk all the way back down again. The SK.swe guys were trying to find a way into the event center when we saw Alex arriving. We all walked up with him but by that time, one of the WSVG staff personnel was at the top of the escalators, so we got in with no problems.
There were was nobody there except a few people. Hoorai was already set up and pracc, the SK.swe guys still had to set up. Jonas had problems with the laptop he had so they had to replace it. After they plugged everything in, they went live without much warm up.
… Getting what they came for
I asked the SK.swe the day before if they were nervous about facing Hoorai again and they said no but as we all know they lost yet a second time. It didn’t really matter though because before the game started, the head WSVG admin came over and told all of us that SK.swe were confirmed for the finals. Regardless what happens in this game they are still going to the finals. The WSVG admins spoke with Hoorai and their manager before the tournament and they had forfeited all their prizes including the WSVG spot. Anyways I would’ve liked it if SK won but they didn’t. Losing both pistols proved too hard of a challenge once again for SK.swe. Before the next event, the guys make sure they have time to practice on TFT’s; if they will ever go to a TFT event again.
… It’s TOXIC
Once the SK.swe and Hoorai game was over they all headed down to watch Toxic play against Stermy. Alex wanted me to take some pictures so I started snapping away at Toxic. He’s so quiet and well mannered but in a way he reminded me a lot of Jonas. I think someone even said during the finals “they could be brothers!”
I took a few pictures of Toxic warming up but soon after he had to go down stairs to play on stage. Everyone was there to watch the game, even some of the CS guys. Fatal1ty was there as well. Judging from the audience’s reactions, everyone was rooting for Stermy but in the end after winning one map and losing the second to Stermy, Toxic won afterall!
He didn’t hear me but at one point I yelled, “Fett Nice” when he fragged Stermy. After the Quake game was over, we had a couple of hours to kill before the awards ceremony.
None of the SK.swe guys stuck around for the Pentagram vs Hoorai game. Everyone went different ways to eat something. Some went for Pizza Hut but Jonas and I went to my favorite Thai restaurant. I ordered the same thing I had two days in a row. MmM the food is so good at that place!!
… Awards Ceremony
After Jonas and I finished eating, we went back to the event area. I wanted to go back to the hotel to get my memory card for my camera (no videos of the game ? because I had forgotten it) but Jonas said it was too far away so I had to use Alex’s camera. The batteries on Snajdan’s camera were also dead so it was pretty shit for me on the last day ?. This is the first time I have forgotten my memory stick. I was so looking forward to taking pictures and videos of the awards ceremony but oh well.
It was a very quick ceremony. Nothing flashy at all. They just announced who won what and that was that. Pictures from this can be seen at a later time since they are on Alex’s camera.
Finally the event was over, we can relax and it felt good to know that tomorrow we will all be going home! We all went back to the hotel after and my back was literally killing me. I should say my lower back. After walking in my boots for 3 days straight, I could barely walk on the fourth day and every chance I got, I sat down.
Alex told me earlier he wanted me to take some nice pictures of the guys just lounging around in the SK wear. They all decided to do it after the awards ceremony back at the hotel. It wouldn’t be a problem because my memory card is there anyways so I could give Alex his camera back and use mine.
I took a lot of pictures for Alex of just the guys hanging around. Once that was done, I just went back to the hotel room and literally past out. I took a power nap while Jonas and Snajdan left to buy some food and some drinks. I guess the guys wanted to relax before they left tomorrow back home.
… To end the night
After a few hours Fisker called our room and asked us to come downstairs. They were all chilling in Vilden’s room so we left down there. I couldn’t wear my boots any longer so I took a pair of the hotel slippers and went down stairs. We just hung around for a little bit. Chillin’ for awhile, watched this movie called, “Forrest Hump”. It wasn’t exactly the movie I thought I would be watching. We watched it for awhile, there were two people fencing and twenty minutes into the movie, Forrest was the one humping a girl. All the guys did was surf porno channels. LOL. I couldn’t think of anything else but how much my leg and back were hurting. I took a few videos but Vilden told me, “If you upload them, I will kill you.” Haha
Anywho after Jonas and I hung around with the guys for awhile we went back up to our room and past out!
What happened on the last day was CRAZY! I took videos and pictures and laughed my ass off. I couldn’t stop laughing at Allen but I am not sure if I will write a blog about it.
Videos from day 2, 3 and 4 will be coming soon. It will take me literally hours to go through all of them and upload them but it will be worth it! Trust me when I say this!!!
EDIT: James aka Radical at also stopped by WSVG before the Quake match started to say hello. While he was there I took two pictures of him and the SK.swe guys. Not sure why but he always looked away when I took the pictures! Ah well he was actually supposed to show me around London but my days were really busy! Was good to see him though.
Before heading down to the stage to watch Toxic play against Stermy, I stopped by the area where fragbite people were sitting and had a chat with them. They're all so young hehe but they were quite nice. I don't know if they were stuck up or if they were shy but they didn't seem much for conversation!

SK At WSVG London; Day 3

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Oct 8, 2006 09:47

We woke up early this morning and was so happy we would be getting a new home. Jonas and I went downstairs first to wait for the other guys. While we waited, we decided to go to Burger King to order some breakfast. As I was taking a video of Jonas ordering food, the girl behind the cash register told me I couldn’t film in there. I can understand it is a restaurant and maybe other people might not want to be on video but it wasn’t like I was pointing it at EVERYONE, I was only pointing it at Jonas and I mean, come on.. it’s Burger King! Thought that was hilarious. Once we got our food, Vilden came by and told us to hurry it up because we all had to meet Alex in the lobby. We rushed eating our food and headed back to the hotel. Alex wasn’t there and all we had to do was drop off the key off at the drop box. I wonder if the hotel ever got a payment from Alex. Would be interesting if they didn’t!
We took two taxi cabs to the new hotel. It was pretty far from the hotel and the taxi costs us 11 pounds each way. It took about 20 minutes to reach our destination but once we got there I was really happy. The place looked really nice. None of us had showered so I was really looking forward to it. When we got there, the receptionist told us, Jonas and my room is ready but the others would have to wait until later on in the day. We offered the other guys to take a shower in our room but they didn’t want to. They decided to head to the event center. Jonas and I took a really quick shower and I was soooooooo happy to finally be sitting in a CLEAN toilet in our OWN ROOM. God, I didn’t want to leave the hotel room. It was so refreshing, I can’t even describe the way I felt. Jonas was VERY HAPPY.
As soon as we took our shower, we headed to the venue and met up with the guys. All of the three batteries I had were exhausted so I only had one battery left. I charged it over night so we’ll see how much footage and pictures I can get for today. I’m also using Snajdan’s camera but it is really tricky to use!
At the event while SK was setting up to play their first match against 4Kings, Alex had asked me to follow Toxic to take some pictures of him receiving a new laptop. I was going to take a video of everything but the guy who gave Toxic the laptop said a few pictures would be fine so that was what I did. After that I interviewed Toxic for a little bit. You can see that interview along with the others under “Files”.
Once that was done, I made my way back to the tournament area with Toxic and watched the match against 4Kings. It didn’t matter whoever they played because under the circumstances the match could go either way. None of them has ever played well on any TFT monitors. With that said, SK.swe were not really nervous about the match at all. The only thing they could do was play their best!
I remember after 4Kings played Fenomena and won, Day walked over to me and said, “We just owned some Danish noobs, now we’re gonna own some Swedish noobs.” And I said, “Oh yeah” and he smiled and said, “Yeah”. 4Kings didn’t win at the end, SK won them with a score of 16-11 and knocked them out of the tournament.
After the game against 4Kings, they had to face up against Seven. Seven was a team from Iceland and these guys made it pretty far to the top. I didn’t get any videos of these guys at their best which I should’ve but I am sure you can see it on fragbite. When this team wins, they literally punch and hit each other. I remember when I first heard them yelling and screaming, I was thinking. Did someone get pissed off at a team member? It was pretty insane. I even had one guy come up to me and say, “These guys have enough testosterone to fuel an engine.” I agreed. Seven did not win the match, when they lost they were just quiet. I thought they would’ve been more pissed off at each other but they weren’t. When SK.swe went over to them, they just shook hands and that was it.
The last match of the day was against Hoorai. SK.swe guys didn’t expect anything out of the game to be honest. They changed how they played a little to adapt to the TFT monitors. It was pretty even when it came to weapon rounds but losing both pistol rounds decided the game. SK lost to Hoorai in the end and that knocked SK down to the lower bracket.
After the game, fragbite interviewed Jonas. Once the interview was done, I actually took a short video of two of the guys. I told them to say hi on camera to the SK people and the one taking all the videos for fragbite looked at the camera and said, “We love SK”. I’m sure he did it to humor me but it was funny regardless. Those two guys seem so shy. I don’t know what to think though. I’m always saying hi to them and teasing them about fragbite. I wonder if they thought I was annoying. LOL.
Once the competition was over, the guys sat around for awhile talking about some stuff. I guess they were deciding on where to go and what to do. We split up and Snajdan and Allen came with us to eat some Thai food. Since Snajdan ate like a star two days straight, he was flat broke. Jonas and I decided to cover his meal at the moment. Allen has never had any type of food so this was his first time trying Thai food. He said it was really spicy for him but the food was okay. I was just happy he was open to trying new things! We are breaking him out of his shell that is for sure because he also tried Indian food later on when we had dinner as well. He really seemed to like that food as he finished his dish.
We finished the night with taking a taxi back to the new hotel we will be calling home for two days. My feet and lower back were really hurting. I can’t believe how much I was in pain. It was horrible and I was just glad we were going back to the hotel. We got back pretty late though but at least I could lay in a comfy bed and be well rested before the next day starts.
While in the taxi, Snajdan told me at the hold hotel him and Fisker made a toilet area. They took off the blanket and sectioned off the sink so they could piss in it. He also told me Fisker took out his junk and was twirling it around like a helicopter blade. Fisker seems to like playing with Fisker JR a lot! I’m sure if I was there he wouldn’t mind I took a video or pictures of it but that will never happen. LOL.

SK At WSVG London; Day 2

By Nai 'Nai' Saeyang
Oct 7, 2006 17:16

… Sleep, need sleep!
After we came back from the Chinese restaurant last night, we all went to bed. Trust me when I say we were all very tired. I didn’t get much rest though. This hotel is very noisy. The walls are super duper thin. You can hear a toilet flush from across the hall, doors closing and so forth. I didn’t get much sleep at all.
Jonas and I set the alarm to wake up pretty early because I was told we were supposed to meet all the guys down at the lobby by 8:30am. The alarm sounded and Jonas and I both woke up. I was tired as hell but we both got dressed and went down right away.
I think at some point there was a misunderstanding because Allen, Fisker, Snajdan and Vilden were already down at the lobby. There might have been an altercation between Jonas and Vilden about the time but it wasn’t like we hung around and didn’t set the alarm. Anyways, once we all met down at the lobby we decided if we could upgrade our rooms to one with a toilet and a shower.
… No money! No room!
Jonas and the guys all seemed very tired but they went up to the front desk. The ladies they were speaking to today were different from the ones from yesterday. Jonas and Vilden asked if we could upgrade the rooms and the women helping them said we could. She started checking on the computers and found there were rooms available but only for tonight. She said we could pay 20.00 pounds for tonight only but tomorrow we have to downgrade again to the standard rooms.
Just as Vilden and Jonas were about to pay for the upgrade, the guys wanted to know if we could just put it on the company card they had on file. The lady started typing with her fingers. Guess what happened? She said there was no note on the computer from the woman who helped us yesterday about a payment for the rooms. Jonas and Vilden had to explain to her the whole thing again, with the mess from yesterday and so forth.
The women (there were two helping out the SK guys) asked for our boss’s number. The guys gave it to them and all we could do was wait. They lounged around in the lobby and I took the advice from the lady yesterday. I really wanted to upload the pictures, videos and blog I wrote yesterday. I actually finished everything at 3am but unfortunately, what the lady told me didn’t work. She said I could just take the internet wire and plug it into my laptop but they had that thing LOCKED. No one could get into it to access the wire. I was really annoyed! It is now the second day and the first blog from the previous day was not up yet! INSIDERS ARE WAITING DAMMIT!
Oh well, I will just have to think of something else. It didn’t make sense for me to pay 2.00 pounds for every ten minutes when all the data is in my laptop. ? After we waited for about 20 minutes, we went to the front desk again.
The woman helping the guys said she spoke with Alex and he would be arriving at 3pm today. At that time he will pay for the rooms and from there we can see if we could upgrade the rooms. Right there we had no choice; they weren’t going to upgrade our rooms at all.
…. Does anyone know what’s going on?
Sk.swe guys decided to go to the tournament are right away. It was raining and cold outside but the event center was pretty close. When we all got there, we saw some other gamers (none of the faces seemed familiar) but everyone seemed to be waiting around so the guys hung around.
They actually walked all over the place asking anyone they can about where to go to see if they were registered for the event. There were NO WSVG signs anywhere when we got there and aside from the other players standing around, there was no one at the site.
The only reason why we got up so early was because in the email Vilden got, it said to go at 9am and the matches would start at 10am. That DIDN’T HAPPEN.
It seemed like everyone was confused. Socrates suddenly showed up out of nowhere and Vilden was speaking with him. He hung around us for a little bit trying to figure out what was going on. I had a quick conversation with him. Asked him how his trip was, if he liked it here and also mentioned I heard he moved to Europe. He said he hated it here and he wanted to go home already. He talked about not being able to sleep last night at all and mentioned he locked himself out of his room so he had to practically knock the door down to get in.
After about an hour of just hanging around the venue without knowing much of what’s going on, other familiar faces started showing up. I saw Grubby and bunch of people walking around, Fatal1ty showed up as well as some of the other teams. Fnatic’s manager went there as well but everyone was asking the same question. WHAT IS GOING ON?! LOL
Finally after awhile, this big lady showed up. It was just her and one lap top but the SK.swe guys checked with her and they were already registered. At least that’s taken care of. She said to come back in awhile because they are just setting up. I told her I was with SK covering the event and she said, unless I am from a credited media company, I won’t be able to get into the tournament area since I am associated with the team. Well, that will be a problem won’t it! Time to call Alex!
…. Killing time
Once the SK.swe guys got all their badges we decided to go eat. None of them seemed to know where they wanted to go so they decided to go to McDonalds. Jonas and I ordered the same thing and Snajdan complained he didn’t like McDonalds but lo and behold, he ended up ordering the most out of all of us.
Once we grubbed, we headed back to the event area. The players were STILL waiting around. This time we were told we could go up the escalator one floor (Keep in mind there are many floors at this place). We got up there and all these gamers were still standing around. Nothing much has changed I see.
Fisker decided to play some arcade games along with Vilden (got some great videos actually), I even took a random video of these two guys riding horses. Man they looked pretty fruity but it was pretty funny and I had to take a video.
Fisker played a punching game, a soccer game and raced on a motorcycle with Vilden. Vilden won both games. Sk.swe basically killed time while they waited.
After half of the morning was gone, they finally opened up the event area and everyone scrambled to get on the escalator. I took a video of the line to registration. You can see just how many people were there. It was just chaos. I was actually worried because I didn’t know if they would allow me into the tournament area but the guys said to just walk with them so I did. We ended up getting into the event area and then took another escalator down to the tournament area.
The actual area where the players will be competing is blocked off by steel gates I guess. Don’t know what you call them but I know if Alex doesn’t hack it so I am able to get in there, it will be a huge problem for me to get any type of good footage later in the day of SK.swe playing. First of all, I’m really short and I know people will crowd around that area and just like ESWC, I won’t get any great videos!
….. The waiting never ends
Well now that the guys are in the tournament area, they still don’t know their schedule. Who they will be playing or when so like everyone else they just sat around and waited until something was posted.
It didn’t seem like anyone knew what was going on. After a little bit, Phil (owner of 4Kings) came into the area. At this point, Jonas decided to speak with him to see if he could help the guys out. He spoke with a guy who was in charge of WSVG and finally got a schedule. The guys found out they weren’t playing until 5pm (only 11am when we were all there) so the guys took this opportunity to head back to the hotel to rest.
… More sleep
Once we got back to the hotel, Jonas decided to get some beauty sleep. I couldn’t sleep at all so I packed up some of our clothes and washed my hair in the sink. I didn’t have any blow dryer (yes, I’ve tried several times calling the front office) and I couldn’t wait any longer for someone to return it. My hair was so nappy but at least I washed my hair right?
I also decided to get a good start on writing this blog so I wouldn’t have to stay up until 3am writing it. (It’s actually now 6am). I was just TOO TIRED to go through the videos (I have a TON) and blog. I literally past out once we got back to the hotel.
Before Jonas fell into his deep sleep (he actually talked in his sleep, he told me to go steal a car) it was bizarre but yet at the same time funny. All the other SK.swe guys called to see if we were interested in going to eat steak. We weren’t that hungry because we had grabbed something to eat at Starbucks.
…. Outside help
After some hours, Jonas woke up and I told him I wanted to go have a nice lunch. We ended up going to a Thai restaurant. The food was really great. Soon after we decided to go to Starbuck’s to see if the internet on my laptop would work. It FINALLY worked and that was when I uploaded the stuff from day 1. While the videos were uploading, Alex suddenly showed up. He gave Jonas and me a bag with SK.swe caps in there. They looked pretty warm! There were also two reddish/pinkish jackets with one white short sleeve SK shirt for me to wear. I fit the white shirt but the jacket was pretty oversized. Alex told me to wear the SK gear and later when he saw it, he said that I was just tiny when I told him the clothes were a bit big on me. You guys can see how I look with the SK gear. Took a picture with Alex! Jonas and I also chatted a little bit with the SK admins on IRC while we killed some time. We also looked for another hotel to stay in at the request of Alex. Once the videos were done though, we had to bail.
… As we were going back to the event center, Fisker called Jonas. It was perfect timing. As we looked down, we could see them on the escalator going up the same way we were. Since we were ahead of them, Jonas decided to play a trick on the guys. He told me to hold the bag Alex had given me. He took the girl jacket out and told the guys they had to wear that to play. Not sure what was said but I think they were pretty surprised. It only took a few seconds before they found out; the SK wear was for me. However, they all wanted the warm caps so I gave each of the guys one. Fisker and Snajdan were the only ones who later wore the hats during the tournament.
The guys started making their way to the tournament area come to find out, their match didn’t start at 6pm but at 10pm. You guessed it! So the guys waited around some more. They didn’t go anywhere though, the other guys went to eat and rushed Jonas and I went back to Starbucks to see if we could book a hotel for tomorrow and the upcoming days we were in London. After that all the SK.swe guys just hung around watching other matches before they started playing.
.... Will I or won’t I?
I was really nervous about not being able to enter into the tournament area but Alex said I should be okay. He actually hacked it and by the help of Uwe from ATI, they got me a WSVG pass. All of the guys stood around and waited some more before the match started. Jonas spoke to his old team mates and I decided to take a picture of him with Keir and Joona. At one point, the power went out on the floor we were in (took a video of the black out including who I think caused the power outage) LOL.
I spoke to Alex about my role in SK and got a better understanding and all of the guys just sat around while they chatted with each other. Also took videos of that including some of the things they were discussing. (Like how bad the hotel we were staying in was). HAHA
…. Let the games begin
At around 10pm, security started kicking everyone out (they had to leave the entire building) except for those people who still had games to play. After the game with ended with 4Kings and their opponent (I don’t remember who the team is), the SK.swe guys were asked to make their way into the tournament area. The person who said he was the head of WSVG said that only 5 members and the team manager could go into the tournament are abut I guess there was ANOTHER guy who had more power then him. When he saw that I was with Alex, he said it was okay that I stay with the team. Alex told he appreciated it and explained that I was taking pictures of the team. The guy said, “It’s okay just let her stay.” WOOOT! You guys don’t understand just how much I was stressing. If that guy hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have been able to get you guys the GREAT videos of the guys playing during their first match.
Once I was inside I was quite relieved. The SK.swe guys sat in the corner and discussed tactics for a little bit. Their opponent sat across from them at which time I decided to use night vision to take some pictures. I had heard earlier there were no flashes allowed.
Ten or fifteen minutes passed and finally SK.swe was asked to go set up their computer for the game. Took some videos of them setting up as well and pictures. I tried my best with the videos because I wanted you guys to see their set up along with the CS screen but I was too short. If you look at the videos, you can see some of them, you can’t see their CS screen.
It was during this time, I met Sugarism (OH GOD, I know I got her name wrong ?) but we said hello to each other. They had to leave though as soon as their matches were done. I almost asked for a picture with her but I didn’t want to agitate the security guys since they seemed annoyed already with all the people not listening to them! LOL
… Nervous about nothing
As the guys were setting up, I took videos and pictures. I was a bit nervous and asked Alex if he was. He said no he wasn’t nervous. Usually when I’m at home and I’m watching a match with SK.swe, I’m a nervous wreck. It doesn’t matter if they are playing the worst team in the world, I still worry. I’m just such a worry wart ?. I was too busy taking videos during the match to pay attention what was going on but I did get a video of the first 4 rounds (SK.swe lost all rounds).
Other videos I took also included Allen taking down four guys at one point and Fisker doing the same at another. The overall score of the game was 16-7 I believe. There were a lot of shouting going on. It was great. Alex was behind the team the whole time as I was taking videos.
Once the match was over, I decided to head over to the Chinese guys SK.swe played and asked them a few questions. They were hilarious. I have NEVER seen a team so excited to play SK.swe and even with their lost they still smiled and laughed as if they had won a war. You have to watch the video I took, they totally adored SK.swe and I remember when I asked for a group picture with SK.swe they said yes so quick, it was insane. Definitely something I will never forget. Watch the video!!! It’s really cool. LOL
…. Savage like the Indians and cold like a really cold winter!
After the group picture, we had to wait for someone to escort us out from the WSVG staff. The whole building was closed and the team who played SK.swe (I can’t remember their name) asked me for my email. They wanted the picture I had taken of them with SK.swe to be emailed. None of us had a pen and they asked for my MSN. I told them what my msn was and they couldn’t remember at all.
It was so funny, I told two guys, “It’s very easy. Just think savage like the Indians and winter like the COLD winter. Savage Winter. HAHA. I don’t know if they remembered or not but Jonas told the guys we would be there tomorrow (SK.swe supposedly has a match at 1pm). If they don’t remember my msn now, I’ll just give it to them again tomorrow.
…. The race against time
Once we got outside the guys decided to book the hotel room. Alex agreed so we wouldn’t have to wake up early tomorrow and stress over it. My laptop is pretty insane ?. When I first bought it 3 years ago, the battery life on it was six hours. Now it is reduced to only 1 ½ hours and it drains it like CRAZY. I was so nervous it would die any minute and although Starbucks was closed we sat outside and used the wireless. We found a hotel. With a toilet and shower in the rooms so we are all going to wake up tomorrow and check out. Alex decided he was going to stay at the hotel we were at (rooming with a guy from mouseports) and yes, their room does have a shower and toilet LOL.
The guys seemed pretty happy and relieved after, considering none of us have showered yet or washed our hairs and we are now going on day 3.
As we were searching for hotels, the battery kept draining. I was so afraid it would just die right when Alex was booking the hotel for us on my laptop. He definitely knows how to use my laptop better than Jonas though haha. At least it didn’t go into hibernate! I was telling all the SK.swe guys to pray the battery wouldn’t die and Vilden kept saying, “It’s not going to die.” It didn’t!!! Thank god!
Once that was taken care of, we all took a walk back to the hotel and my foot was HURTING like a bitch. I almost didn’t make it! Alex, Jonas and I decided to stop into Burger King to grab a late dinner. We took our food to go and that was that. Of course there were other things that happened but ugh, I really can’t keep writing.. I’ll never stop ? and this blog is SUPER DUPER long already ?.
… You must see for yourself
I will not be listing the videos you can watch from day 2. There are WAY too many to go through and it would literally take ages to upload. Since the guys will be playing earlier today I will most likely just upload them when I get back into Sweden (that is if I can get back in there). Yes, I’m stressing about that already ?.
However, you can enjoy the pictures and this blog (hopefully) for now. Some of the fun things on the video include Vilden and Fisker playing this punching game, Fisker playing a football game (he was kicking this ball pretty hard), and some other fun ones including their first match of the day.
Things I didn’t mention worth mentioning.
-On our way to the tournament area, Snajdan was telling Jonas about the steak he had. He spent 45 pounds on lunch at this steak house. I wondered why he spent so much and he said, “It’s expensive to be a star!”. HAHAHAHA just like the video of him commenting on the reason why he got the new tattoo in China.
-While we waited for the match to begin Fisker told us what he did in the men’s restroom. His exact words to me were, “I took this shit, it was three long sausages and I didn’t flush the toilet.” Snajdan laughed his butt off and then Jonas told me, “After Fisker took a shit he didn’t flush and Snajdan went in there, went into the same stall and took a shit on top of Fisker’s and didn’t flush either.” I said, “Eww, do I really need to know this?” Fisker then said, “I am going to go in there to see if we can just take a shit and have it flow out so when people sit on it they get it all over their butt.”
-Jonas also dared me to post a picture of me pissing in the sink. Yes, I know it’s gross ?! Sorry but you have to be Insider to see if the picture is actually in the gallery! :(, I’m really not that gross but I REALLY REALLY needed to go and I couldn’t’ wait any longer. Given the condition of the public restroom, isn’t the sink always safer? Don’t worry people, Jonas and I don’t wash our face or do anything like that in the sink!
-Steve O did make an appearance. You can check out a couple of pictures and a video I took of him when he was there... with his Hennekein in hand. There weren’t that many people in line to meet him for autographs but he cut it short and left somewhere. LOL
-I am now convinced Snajdan farts why more than Fisker. Both are just as stinky and deadly. It’s horrible because I can’t even tell who let one out. Like at Arlanda airport when everyone started covering their noses or while going up the escalator to the tournament area. I’m sure people KNOW it came from us though. UGH. I wonder how their rooms smells like since both of them are rooming together.
-Rumors are afloat that Hoorai (if they place top three) they won’t even get the prize money. Apparently, one of the members is under the age of 18. Not sure if there is any truth to this (note the word rumor) but thought I would mention it.

SK At WSVG London; Day 1

…Illegal alien
All I have to say about today is, “What a long day!” I don’t even know where it starts or where it ends. I arrived in Sweden yesterday and they almost did not let me get into Sweden. The reason was pretty simple. I have already stayed the 90 days I am allowed. The lady at the passport control looked at my passport for about ten minutes telling me I am now an illegal alien. She gave me stamp in the end to enter into Sweden but her advice was for Jonas and I to go to immigration and get a visa which will allow me to stay 2 months in Sweden. I was really nervous but after awhile I finally got pass the border patrol. I met up with Jonas and we both took the express train to Stockholm. Once we got to Stockholm, we had to take another train to get home.
I was very tired after 11 hours of flying, all I wanted to do was lay in a comfy bed and get some sleep. Jet lagged and feeling horrible, I didn’t get much sleep at all. Keep in mind this was yesterday. I arrived in Sweden at about 8am and this morning Jonas and I had to get up at 8am. I didn’t think I could do it but alas I DID it.
…The morning rush
This morning I was the first one to wake up. Jonas was sleeping and man I was really tired. We had to get out of the house by 9am to catch the train to central station in Stockholm and then take the express train AGAIN back to Arlanda airport. It didn’t take long for me to get ready and for Jonas to pack. We could have taken a shower but didn’t. Both of us figured, we’ll just do it once we get into London. (That’s another story in itself which you will read later).
On our way to the airport, Fisker and Allen were already at the airport, they were both waiting for us to arrive. Vilden and Snajdan got the better deal. Both had a direct flight to London whereas, Jonas, Fisker, Allen and me had to fly through Amsterdam.
I immediately saw Fisker and Allen. Fisker gave me a hug and well.. Allen is just Allen. He didn’t seem to want to hug me but that’s okay, I went up and hugged him anyways! He said he was sick and I joked about not wanting to get it from him and all I heard was a chuckle!
All four of us got in line and Fisker said something in Swedish to Jonas. Then Jonas said that we should repack because we have to take out the laptop every time we go through security. He had a point. We repacked our stuff quickly and then this nice lady gave us our boarding passes. At first Jonas and I were not going to check in bags but since Fisker and Allen were doing it, we might as well. When Allen put his duffle bag on the weight machine, the lady told him he had to bring it to a special place. Allen then went and stood in line at this place in the back. After that was done, the guys all wanted to get a bite to eat before we headed to the gate.
We walked up some stairs and Fisker decided he wanted McDonalds. Jonas and I were not that hungry so we didn’t get anything, Allen bought a Coke I think but that was it. I didn’t even know there was an upstairs area where you can lounge around and eat at Arlanda airport LOL.
…. Plane ride; Take one
We all sat on the same row but in different seats. Jonas and I didn’t sit together, a girl had a seat between the both of us but she was nice to give it up so I could sit with Jonas. Right across from us sat Fisker and Allen. During the flight, Jonas said, “Look at Allen, he hasn’t moved a muscle.” I looked across and thought, “WOW, you are right, he hasn’t!” Allen was looking straight ahead with both hands folded on the table. I mentioned to Jonas he looked like he was at school awaiting instructions on how to do his school work. Hehe. Next to him was Fisker, hunched down with his head on the fold out table asleep. Jonas mentioned that’s the way he sleeps on every plane ride to every event. I had to take a picture.
…The nice flight attendant
Since I didn’t let Jonas sleep because I was so bored, him and I played the, “I don’t know you” game. It’s just a silly game we both thought up. We pretend we don’t know each other and like the guy he is, he is always trying to talk to me. I’m pretty mean to him though, not giving into his advances and usually he gets tired of it. Anyways the flight attendant was passing out sandwiches and drinks. He came by to our isle and asked me, “Coffee tea?” and I said, “No thanks but do you have coke?”. For some reason he just laughed at me but he did end up giving me the drink. Later on as he walked down the isle I said to him, “Excuse me, but do you have any peanuts.” He said, “I will check for you in the back, but only for you once I’m done.” And I just said to him, ‘Okay well you better hurry up!” He was still handing out drinks so I was rushing him. Jonas had a good laugh. He ended up not bringing me one bag of peanuts but a ton of them (had to take a picture of that too!) They weren’t even peanuts, they were salty, disgusting salted almonds.
… Virtanen, Erikson, Bo, Saeyang, please proceed to the gate immediately
Our first flight was four hours. I didn’t get any sleep although Jonas did sleep some. Once we got to Amsterdam, it was raining outside. The weather was pretty cold. We decided again to get something to grub. Fisker got his favorite snack, a doughnut! He told me he LOVES doughnuts and he HAD to get one along with the pizza he got. Jonas got pizza as well and I got a salad and fresh fruit. Allen said his food wasn’t good but he finished it and same went for Jonas and Fisker. I totally ruined my salad by putting yogurt dressing on it. GROSS!
We actually chilled at that little café for about an hour or so. I took a couple of pictures of them and we spoke about various things. Took some videos as well (Insiders can download the files to watch them.) I kept stressing because I didn’t want to miss the flight but Jonas said they wouldn’t leave without us. The guys sat around some more and talked about some more stuff.
I decided to ask Fisker about what I had heard. Apparently during China he was pulling his pants down showing everyone his junk. I asked if it was true and I thought he was sms’ing with his girlfriend but he suddenly turned his cell phone towards me and there was a picture of him NAKED! My eyes, my virgin eyes!! Of course all the guys laughed but I didn’t need to see him naked! I suppose it was true, we then moved on and joked about Jonas’s big butt again.
After sitting around for a good hour, we finally got up and went to our gate. As we were walking there we heard over the intercom a lady calling our all our last names because we needed to board the plane.
…Leaving on a jet plane; Take two
We all ended up taking a bus to the middle of the runway (while it was cold and raining) and boarding the air craft in that manner. It was pretty interesting. I have never had to drive out in the middle before. This wasn’t a normal plane; it was MUCH smaller, only 2 seats a row. There were only two rows so it was rather a small plane but to our surprise the seat totally reclined back so it was comfortable in that way. Jonas told me, it was a propeller airplane. This time, Fisker and Allen got the seat behind Jonas and I. There was this business man across the isle who kept staring at Jonas. I don’t know WHAT he is staring at but he just kept looking. Fisker and Allen annoyed us for a bit by constantly hitting our seats but I told them were going to play the, “I don’t know you” game again. So they stopped and started playing with themselves. After an hour of riding on the plane, we arrived in wet, cold, windy London.
… The long wait
We went to get our luggage and since there was an atm which allowed us to get money without being charged an extra fee. We all whipped out our debit cards and took some cash out. Once we got our luggages, Jonas went to information to ask for directions to the hotel. We were going to take the subway but it didn’t work out like that. Fisker also got a call from Vilden. Both Vilden and Snajdan wanted us to wait for them. Although they took a direct flight, they arrived later than we did.
What did we decide to do while we waited? Well first, we went into this store to buy a converter so I could use my laptop. After that we decided to stop upstairs and get something to eat.
We waited, and waited, and waited. An hour passed and still we didn’t hear anything. All of us were pretty tired, and bored. We ended up playing this game called “The Word Game”. It was really fun the first few rounds but then it got boring. Finally Vilden calls Fisker and said they have arrived and are in the baggage claim area.
….. Who’s the fool?
After a couple of hours we decided to go downstairs. We sat in these chairs where we could clearly see the gate (from arrivals) but still no sign of Vilden and Snajdan. Finally they called Fisker and what do you know?? THEY WEREN’T EVEN AT THE RIGHT AIRPORT!! LOL so all this time we were waiting at the wrong airport. Only two hours later, did we find out. We then decided the subway was not the best option. It was really dark and cold outside and we had to walk to it so we decided to taxi it to the hotel.
…..The chaos begins
We got to the hotel (very central) and stood in this long que. When I say long, believe me it was! When we finally got to the receptionist, things did not run smooth at all. She said she would need the rooms to be paid now or else we wouldn’t get the three rooms with double beds we had reserved. The total cost she needed was 900.00 pounds. None of us had that money so we had to call BDS and Alex. At first we couldn’t reach Alex or BDS but eventually we did. The lady at the front desk told us, one of the rooms someone already checked it. We had no idea who it was but if that person knew Jonas’s last name (all the rooms were booked under his last name) they must’ve been with SK.
There were a ton of people in line so we had to move to the side to sort this out. Jonas kept trying to call Alex and when we finally got through, he said this same thing happened earlier today and he had to fax his CC information TWICE so they should have it on file. Well they didn’t. Vilden and Snajdan still had not arrived yet so we all took a seat on the couch and put on our thinking caps. Once Jonas spoke to Alex, we went up to the front desk again. This time another lady came and helped us. She was really helpful and while she was sorting out the room for us, we found out our rooms had no toilet or shower. Is this ESWC all over again for me? We had to share a bathroom with only one shower on the same floor as everyone else. Don’t forget there’s about a hundred rooms on each floor.
I also wanted to know if there was internet access and she said, “Unfortunately not, sweetie. This is a 2 star hotel and we are closing down at the end of the year.” She told me if I wanted to use the internet to go to Burger King next door because they have computers there and they close at midnight. *Groans* She also gave me the option of bringing down my laptop to the lobby and plugging the internet onto my PC. I guess this company stuck 4 of their computers here but the lady said they won’t say anything to me if I just take the internet from these comps and go on it. LOL (more on that later on second day’s blog).
…. Surprise, Surpise!!
Vilden and Snajdan finally arrive after a good 3 hours. We all got the room sorted or so we think and we decided to catch the elevator up. We’re all on the 9th floor. Once we got up, Jonas and I had no problems finding our rooms but on our way there we kept crossing paths with Vilden, Fisker, Snajdan and Allen. Jonas said he wanted to use the bathroom but we had to find it. I opened the door because I heard all the guys yelling back and forth in the hallway, “Allen! Allen! Allen!”
Since I’m nosy, I had to find out what was going on. I kind of figured he was lost but had to confirm it. I opened the door and asked Vilden, “Did you lose Allen?” Vilden said, “Yes, I told him to follow me downstairs but I don’t see him.” It was pretty funny but after 5 minutes he was found.
By this time I was so tired I don’t really remember the series of events that went on but we decided to go eat dinner. Snajdan and Vilden were both hungry as they had been traveling all day and just got here. Jonas went to the bathroom and I opened the door again. Snajdan was running back and forth holding his stomache. He said he needed the bathroom fast. I told him Jonas is already in it. Man it was hilarious. He was running frantically looking for the toilet and guess what? Later on during the night, we found out he ended up going to the women’s bathroom instead of the men’s. LOL the pictures you see in the gallery are from the men’s toilet area.
Once the guys used the bathroom, there was yet another surprise. We went looking for Vilden and Allen. As it turns out they were talking to someone from the room they were supposed to stay in. It was Socrates (the Quake player) who moved to Europe for better internet connection. Vilden opened the door and woke him up, HAHAHA.. man things just keep getting better and better for the night. He told us earlier they had this problem and who to talk to. After talking in the hallway after this run in, we went down and told the receptionist, the room they gave us was already taken by someone else.
What a mess eh? Anyways to shorten this blog, we got the room finally sorted and went to eat Asian food. Fisker wanted to sleep so he didn’t go with us. Allen went with us but then decided at the last minute he was going back to the hotel.
I found out he doesn’t eat Asian food. I think if Jonas and I had known that, we would’ve found a different place but he left us. The food was AWESOME though but the service was poor. Vilden played a joke on me and hid my camera but I thought Jonas was in on it too. Snajdan couldn’t’ stop saying, “Ni hao” after everything he said. After we grubbed, we took a walk back to the hotel.
On the way there, we stopped by Burger King to use the internet to check out details for tomorrow. None of us know where to go or what to do but luckily Vilden had an email with instructions. That was at 11pm something.
Now it is 2:26am and I JUST got done with this blog. Remember to check out the videos for a more in depth look at some of the events I spoke about in the blog. PEACE OUT. I need some sleep or I won’t be able to get up tomorrow ?!
Be sure to check the galleries for pictures and files for videos!! Enjoy!
