Amateur Interest

The United States covers a great quantity of land, stretching approximately 3200 miles in width. Look at a map, and with exception to the bulk of Russia, this is affectively the size of Russia.
CAL have dealt with gamer's demand for spectating eSport brilliantly, with scheduling prime games on certain nights to both cope with player's real life demands as well as spectators interest in tuning in.
Though most competitive players would love nothing more than in their game careers to 'go pro' and get paid to play a game, for most, this isn't going to happen on such a scale as we dream to be. The real market for all games, be them real life or e-related, are the amateurs and novice's.
What I am trying to say and start a discussion and hopefully a movement towards, is a way to start a greater dedication of commitment to supporting those middle of the road players, who by and large, for one reason or another, won't have that salary when it comes time to hang uninstall that old application.
What can we do to benefit the majority of the gamers out there? Maybe a CAL.EU to begin with, now that broadband isn't an issue any longer. Maybe a central news website for those to refer to for things that aren't solely Professionally related, a site for the majority of us gamers
What do you think?
