Interview with russian ProGamer AlekseyK(Virtus.PRO)
Greed1> Hi aleksey, can you tell us something about yourself?
AlekseyK> Hello :). My name is Aleksey Kolesnikov, i'm studying world economics, in Plehanov Economical Academy, this summer i got 19.I'm fond of many things, like electronics, sport, reading,music,traveling,etc and just cool life :D
Greed1> How did you start playing CS? What do you still like about this game?
AlekseyK> It was like 4.5 years ago, and it was really usual, some friend invited me to the club, i tryed it first time and began to play.The only thing which still hold me in this sphere, is championship atmosphere and just desire to become first among so many good teams in the world. It's all about real sport...
Greed1> What are your best achievements? What would you still like to reach?
AlekseyK> Best achievements are : Acon5 first place, ESWC2004 3-rd place, WCG2005 4-th place, CSCL2 European championship 1-st place, EUROCUP XI 2-nd place. I would like to place first on 2-3 world championships in a row. And ofc i wanna win CPL,WCG,ESWC,ACON even once each of them.
Greed1> Tell us something about your beginning.
AlekseyK> I was starting to play with the only desire to get some fun, but when my first team appeared, i began to analise everything, envent strats, fix mistakes, control my team moral and relationship etc. That's the time when i began to like gaming so much cauz of process and championships.
Greed1> At the moment, you play for Virtus.PRO... do you like actual members? Are you a good team? How often do you play?
AlekseyK> Yea ofc, i even don't "like", i love my team mates and my team, we are together for like 1.2 with 4 guys and 1.8-2 years with 3 m8s, and only hooch entered team not so long ago,but i know him for a long period, so it's not a problem :P Yea i hope we already proved ourself that we are not the worst team in the world and we won't stop! So i'm looking forward to next events and i hope we will show lot of crazy games and victories! Our training process depends of championship which we are going to attend and life posibilityes of our players.I play usualy 3-4 days a week, and before biggest events 4-5-6 for like 5-6 hours everyday.
Greed1> Do you have any spare time you could spend with girls and personal life?
AlekseyK> ofc i have free time, and at this moment it's enough for me for sure. So fun+girls+partyes are usual thing for a pro gamer, don't worry ;)
Greed1> What would you like to tell other beginning players?
AlekseyK> My wishes for the beginers are : lot of motivation , dedication, and desire to develop and win, but the thing like "self analise" is most important to develop faster and improve ur skills guys. So train hard and go pro !
