The age of a Talented Manager
Dear community,
lately I had some discussions with some managers from over the world about the age of a talented manager.
Often organisations only want managers above the age of 18 (or 21).
To be honest, I started managing when I was 14 (yes I was young!) I'm now 17 years (2 months to go before I'm 18)
and I am running a complete organisation as CEO!)
What do you guys think about the age of a talented manager?
Should it be above 18? Or are there some 'teenage top Managers' ?

It is with great sadness that I, Gaetan ‘Budkicker’ Van der Eecken, Board Director of myLegend (Royal Gaming Network.LTD) shortly named Legend (#Legend) announce you that we close our books.
This is the story about what really happened within myLegend the latests months…
The problems started in march 2006:
myLegend.CS was heading their way for the ESWC consolation tournament. They started training but after already some days their was a problem within the team. Some off the members had a lack of inactivity. This ended up in playing for the ESWC consolation tournament without training.
In the meanwhile our CSS team was invited (as first) for the Clanbase Eurocup. But the problem was some of our members had exams in the coming weeks. So they didn’t play any match for the Eurocup. They were forced to quit the Eurocup.
Our COD2 team and our Quake 4 team was also getting inactive due to exams.
After the ESWC consolation tournament our CS team got inactive and it was like the teamleader was ‘dead’.
During the summer holiday a part of the management staff got inactive too. Summer holiday, school, real life problems,…
So I guess allmost everyone got inactive. Except for me, during the summer holiday I received contracts with companies to supply mylegend with extra financial support.
But despite this I didn’t had the motivation to go on as mylegend seemed very inactive.
I waited for weeks but I didn’t saw a change of activity. That’s why I decided to close down the books.
So from now one myLegend Royal Gaming network.LTD is not longer an organisation. All sponsor contracts stop from here. All player contracts stop from this point.
myLegend existed since 2001 untill 25-09-2006. Some gamers were surprised by our fast growing organisation and support we received from companies.
Then here are my personal words:
I wanna thank…
… all myLegend.CS players who have become in real friends to me: Darken (Julien), Kanon (Vincent), screenager (Jeremy), Bes (Sebastien), gotox (Damien), magmax (Lionel). I will keep our moments together on lan for ever in my mind.
…all myLegend.CS managers who have become a great support to me. DM (Dimitri), Wellington (Aymeric).
… all myLegend staff who did their best to keep improving the proffesionalism of the organisation.
…all myLegend teams we ever had.
…all our sponsors and partners we ever had: Qhosting, Cags, Linix, HugoBoss, Cheapass, Carrefour, DVCgraphics, CyberCastel, Intelligepad, Creative, Microsoft,Sgware, …
…our Designer and Coder Stijn Tallon for all his great work he did for us.
…The Board Directors of myLegend who have started all this: Drake (Thomas), magmax (Lionel), GW (Joris).
…All gamers who registered at our website, all gamers who performed our irc channel, all fans we ever had, all gamers who supported us @ LAN.
...Llo (Laura) and Kazz for their help @ LAN
Thank you all for believing in us.
I liked the time being head of myLegend (Royal Gaming Network.LTD).
I enjoyed a lot of moments with our team. I will never forget the special band we had.
I know I maybe wasn’t perfect… I tried my best.
I quit management for a while untill I will find my new destiny…
